Mario Golf, eh whatever. The last Tennis game didn't sound too hot so I'm cautious.

Mario Golf on the GCN was fucking amazing, I don't think they've made a Mario Golf since then.

Luigi's Mansion and Animal Crossing do look astoundingly good, at least in terms of being steps above their predecessors. I definitely want both of them.

As for Mario Golf, I'd be interested if it was a Wii U game since I'm more into console multiplayer. As for Mario vs. Donkey Kong, I'm not into that series. DKCR for 3DS? I haven't played the game but I'd probably prefer and HD Wii U version of that instead. But I guess the existence of these games isn't a bad thing in general.

Mario and Luigi 4 looked interesting, though. I actually recently just picked up Mario and Luigi 3 after a long hiatus and still need to finish it. I'm glad the 3DS game looks fresh in terms of the style. I will I would have been bored by another game that looked like the previous three.

But yeah, while these are all completely different kinds of games, they all fall under the same property umbrellas. More original games being shown is important for next time.

I'm sorry but this was hilarious. This Nintendo Direct was pretty underwhelming and really just embarrassing for the Wii U. 3DS support through the year is pretty nice though.

Fun Fact: All the Mario games shown were different genres.

It's easier to ignore that for the sake of arguing that it's milking.

A port wouldn't take up many resources. So if they were making it, I doubt they had many people working on it.

Donkey Kong Country Returns was a mediocre platformer and everything else announced was rehash or bleaugh. Glad the hardcore fanbase is excited, but I'm sad.

It's no Rayman Origins, but it's a damn fine game -- very damn fine.

I hope you don't expect DQX/DQVII to be announced so soon along with their Japanese releases. It'll be at least a year before those are localized.

Mario Golf stole the show, WOW at how much better it looks than Tennis Open, almost a gen apart.

Hopefully this has more personality (clearly does so far) and the music is closer to the GC games, Tennis Open had an inferior soundtrack to them.

RPG mode wouldn't hurt.

But most of all, DIDDY, he better be in, but I trust Camelot, DK was obvious, and Diddy was in Tennis Open, Camelot's put him in all their games since Toadstool Tour (and the first appearance in a Mario game to boot).

Mario & Luigi's a great surprise as well, odd that the 3D is only in the dream sequence.

DKCR3D is disappointing as it's a port, I wanted a Paon-developed 3DS equivalent instead.

Shocked at no Pokemon Rumble U, thought that was a shoe-in.

I thought that too, then noticed on-screen text indicating that the "co-driver turned off traffic". So with the gamepad a second player can tweak traffic, weather, etc.
