If all you play on a Nintendo system are Mario games and spin-offs, I feel sorry for you.

Except that any of the "Mario" games are usually some of the highest rated games and incredibly fun. Mario isn't some mediocre franchise, they are at the top of any other franchise on any other anything. I can totally understand someone only getting Mario games.

I've only started Skyward Sword and complained in the Wii U Satisfaction thread that there was no Miiverse for Zelda...

All in all, a much better Direct than I expected. Pretty, pretty good.

They will keep the localisation announcements for E3.

Does anybody else come away from Nintendo's talks at e3 and on the ND videos that there is just so many easy things that they can do to help fix the slow sales of the WiiU and 3DS.

People say it all the time. Unified login across platforms a la PSN, cross buy with virtual console games, RELEASING SOME FUCKING VC GAMES ON THE 3DS, A black model and white model in the US, etc...

It is nice to see Nintendo in panic mode because they do their best work, but holy hell it is like they can't hear what their fans want at all.

Did you not see the last Nintendo Direct? First party support is getting there, and a lot of it, but just a little bit slower I'm assuming because this is the first time Nintendo worked this heavily on an HD project.

DKC Returns 3D is a disappointment, only because it should have been a totally new DK game that was announced, and it feels like it's way too soon to be porting DKCR to anything. It didn't come out THAT long ago.

It required (a slight) effort, but with a modded Wii you could use a simple code to play DKCR on the Wii Classic Controller.
