Stephen Colbert said:Thank you. I guess I'll take a shot on it. Never played any previous pilotwings so I'm not sure what to expect. Whether it's lazy flying around or if you race and dogfight with other planes too.
Dreamwriter said:Pilotwings hasn't been released anywhere in the world yet, so nope, only Eurogamer.
TheDrowningMan said:nGamer in the UK have given it 75% - The gist of the review is that it's fun, but would be more appreciated as a £5 downloadable offering due to a lack of content.
richisawesome said:No, it got a score in the 80s from what I remember. Which on N64 Mag/NGamer terms is 'very good'.
90% and above is 'exceptional'.
If you like the idea of a casual flight sim based on taking off, landing, flying through rings, popping balloons, taking pictures, and stuff like that, and chilling out and seeing the sights, then you'll love it. That's going by the n64 version, this one doesn't seem to be all that different.Stephen Colbert said:Sorry to ask again but have there be any additional reviews or extensive previews of Pilotwings, aside from Eurogamer. I must know if it's worth preordering.
Also, has any other publication or fan (other than engadget on launch day) posted high res pics of the black 3ds?

Personally I can't wait for this game, I loved the last one and it's been a really long time. No one else makes games like this really.

"NGamer's 75 review says the game is "beautiful to look at, very nice to play", however it's "disappointingly light on content". Despite this Pilotwings Resort is said to be "perfect for launch day, and maybe the day after" too."

Thankfully my sister works at the GS where I reserved mine so me and her get in early . Still have to wait till 9 to actually get the damn thing though :/FTH said:Same here, those lines are likely to be disastrous

Shame mines not up there but its early yet
Stephen Colbert said:$25? Do you mean tax? It's such bullshit that amazon gets away with not charging a sales tax so it's people have a huge incentive to buy from them. Amazon has enough advantage over retail stores as is not having to rent and maintain thousands of store fronts and employees at each one.
Neuromancer said:I'm debating switching my preorder to a Gamestop that's farther away and in kind of a bad area. Decisions, decisions.
JackFrost said:Ive never been to a release day hype event, are the lines actually going to be crazy considering so far they have no plans for midnight or early openings? My gamestops not exactly in the middle of nowhere.
I know it depends on how many are sold/preordered, im just looking for a generalization so I know what time I should go.
Yeah, that's true. Looking at it from the perspective of someone who wants to pay as little as possible, it kinda makes me sad.Vyse The Legend said:Amazon charges sales tax in NY. So, they don't get away with it everywhere.

I already want to start planning what I'm going to do then.

Why would you do that? said:I think he was asking where they will do it, not if they will do it.
Honestly, I think they will probably do it at Toys R Us, because Nintendo World is way too small. They can barely handle the launch of regular games like New Super Mario Bros. Wii.
Amir0x said:good thing the Gamestop I put my pre-order in at just opened a few months ago and is right next to a much more well established Gamestop only, like, three minutes down the road. So hopefully that'll mitigate the lines. Of course, it's not listed as a 9am OR a midnight opening. It's a ghost Gamestop.
god i hate giving Gamestop money
It's a midnight launch? In the bad part of town?Neuromancer said:Man I hope not. I love my Reebok pumps, they're so fresh!

midnight opening. the store i worked at 3 years ago is a midnight opening too, which is kinda weird considering it's not really that busy.

Well, for the Wii launch, they had enough units to last them the whole night and 1/2 of the next day. So I'm hoping it'll be similar for the 3DS, because I'm not doing the midnight thing.Brazil said:Nah, he answered what I asked. I see how you could be confused, though. Hopefully they'll have enough units.
