Nintendo Banning Switch 2 Consoles using Mig Switch

So are pirates going to go legal and file a class action lawsuit? Because even if you make legal copies or not, you're in a definite gray area.

If I remember correctly each cart has a unique identifier so if that identifier pops up multiple times it shouldn't be possible which is a clear sign of piracy if you go online with it. If you buy a game new and dump that then it shouldn't be an issue.

"PERFECTLY LEGAL DUMPS" :messenger_tears_of_joy: suuurrreeee
The fact he felt the need to specify tells me it's a lie just like most people who talk about emulation.

You have terms of use agreement, this goes beyond what you agree

This is in the terms. We had a thread about it.

Does the console still work or just banned from online services is the question

Eh.....not "every single". I rip images from media I own and play them on emulators. But those are all PSP, PS2 and PS3 games.

Crazy that it's already cracked like this.
As far as I am aware, you can't actually use the mig switch to play Switch 2 games, it's just Switch games. And the Switch 2 isn't really hacked, the mig switch is basically a Switch cart (or hardware emulating a switch cart).

Is this the same guy we were talking about in the Switch OT a few days ago? Who not only admitted to trying to use his Mig Switch on his Switch 2, but did so on the same account he was using on his first Switch that was already banned?

yeah, but I doubt anyone who hates Nintendo will buy the game to emulate it. and hating Nintendo seems to be a requirement when buying a Steam Deck lmao

I like how pirates always try to make piracy "legal" in their own terms. Emulators are very legal too, absolutely none use them to play games for free, I swear.

brother READ THE MESSAGE in the OP
Brother, read nintendo user agreement terms
You acknowledge that if you fail to comply with the foregoing restrictions Nintendo may render the Nintendo Account Services and/or the applicable Nintendo device permanently unusable in whole or in part.

You don't own your console, regardless if you think the reasons for bricking the console you purchased are 'fair'.

These were dumped legit, which apparently is an important distinction because games dumped on the internet get flagged by Nintendo, so it was the MIG cart itself not the dump.

"If SIE Inc determines that you have violated this Agreement's terms, SIE Inc may itself or may procure the taking of any action to protect its interests such as disabling access to or use of some or all System Software, disabling use of this PS5 system online or offline"

"You will not use or install any Unauthorised Software. If You do, Your Xbox Console, Kinect Sensor or Authorised Accessory may stop working permanently"

hehe oopsie

Eh, that's not what I read. Even when you buy a DVD, you agree you shouldn't copy it.
There's a big difference between random terms the company puts forth and enforceable terms. Nintendo didn't just say you don't own your console, it is completely possible to brick a console remotely, unlike a DVD.

So piracy then? Nothing to see here and they're well within their rights to do that. He's lucky that he's online banned online and not the whole console

They're clearly dumping their own cart and then transferring the data to the Mig so as not to induce wear n tear on their genuine Switch cartridges :messenger_smirking:

Wow, you proved you don't own any of the consoles you buy, just like all my comments stated
