Games that I possibly want (and don't have, obviously) are Pikmin 3 and Mario U. What do I do now? =S

Since I Already have all of them (US free games) I guess I will host a Mario Kart Tournament and give away a free game.

I would say download Pikmin 3 and if you want enter my tournament for a chance to win the other one

I have a basic Wii U. :(

The only games I don't own on that list is W101, Wii Party U, and Mario and Sonic. Might end up going with Wii Party U (and buy W101 retail).

What is the cheapest good hard drive for the Wii U? I only really need 100 gigs at most.

100 gigs go from $34 - &44, I would recommend 500 gigs they're around $50

Aw man, I didn't see that EU had a bigger selection, with several that I don't have. That's disappointing, as I have all of the US options already.

Any recommended models in that price range? I remember them being like 80-100 dollars minimum around the Wii U launch.

I have a WD 500GB I paid about $55 for it at Best Buy last year so you should be able to find those or Seagate they're around the same price

Getting Pikmin 3 or Wii Party U with my retail copy of MK8! Most likely Pikmin 3, but I think Party U should be really fun with friends and family. Decisions, decisions...

Could anyone advise me between getting Pikmin 3 or WWHD?

Ive never played the original WW nor any Pikmin game.

Pikmin 3 is such an awesome game I had never played a Pikmin game before picking this one up and it's one of my favorites on the console, plus bingo battle to play some multi player

Honestly if you never played the original WW then just get WWHD. Pikmin 3 is a brilliant game but Wind Waker (HD) is a masterpiece.

So I checked out some different stores and I found a cheap $60 Seagate one. It seems to be the best cheap one (any lower and it's no name brands). Problem is, it only has a USB 3.0 cable that isn't a y cable. Should it be fine to just pick up a separate USB 2.0 y cable and then use it for the Wii U? Or does Seagate have a weird proprietary port on the actual hard drives or something?

This combined with the bundle is a really good offering if you've been wanting one. It'll be interesting to see what this does for sales in NA. They need to market it though.

I guess just check what ports the HDD has and look for a compatible y cable

This is what I currently have HDD and Y cable

Why is that a bad thing? The system is selling horribly and they should be making this kind of effort to help the install base grow.

Sure, it's just surprising to see Nintendo give away some of the few big games on the system. These are titles that would be evergreen in the past, selling well at full price years into the system's run. Just another sign of how poorly the system is doing, I guess.

Maturity, bitches.
Game & Wario, Sonic Lost World, Olympic Game, Wii Party U and MonHun3 are the games I don't have.

Leaning towards G&W since I am a fan of the Wario Ware games though I am aware this game isn't quite the same. Only problem is I don't really play local multiplayer at all.

The 3ds is doing pretty well and Nintendo did a promotion for $30 eshop credit when you bought Fire Emblem and SMT, both very popular games. So I don't think your argument holds any water

Has anyone explained why Europe has so many more choices? Of course the games I am most interested, aren't on the list for NA. I wonder if there is any chance NA gets these games to choose from as well.

NA will get those 4 games. It won't change. Probably NoE and NoA both got to decide what games to have available. Has to do with sales data I'm thinking.

Not sure if I'll go with Pikmin or Wind Waker.

My left wrist is in a cast till mid-June either way...can you play Pikmin with just the stylus?

Don't buy G&W if you are not going to play multiplayer. I don't own the game but this game is not like wario ware so there are not a lot of micro games but it is kinda like nintendoland in that aspect bigger mini games that you play with friends Just like wii party u which is getting way to much hate in this thread game is awesome with casual friends or familie. If you want the most out time out of your game pick monhun. If you love sanic go for sonic but dont go for mp catered games if you cant play local.

Probably cause WiiU is doing worse in Europe than the US so now effort is needed there, though I don't understand why they just f don't do the full promotion across the board

I think these file sizes should perhaps be added to the OP to help make a decision. (But the correct answer is always Pikmin 3)

Mario Kart 8 - 4949.8 MB

New Super Mario Bros. U - 2301.7 MB
Wind Waker HD - 2440.0 MB
Pikmin 3 - 4541.1 MB
Wii Party U - 5156.9 MB

Nintendo Land - 3416.6 MB
MH3U - 7020.1 MB
Game and Wario - 3914.4 MB
Wonderful 101 - 12.8 GB
Sonic Lost World - 8474.6 MB
Mario and Sonic 2014 - 9741.4 MB

Wait how come games like MK8 are only ~5gb? That doesn't sound right. I thought they'd be bigger.
3D World is really small too compared to Wonderful 101...

...well shit. If you have a wii remote and nunchuk, then it makes Pikmin a stronger proposition since the dual-analog controls aren't great IMO. If not, then go with Wind Waker.... and then get Pikmin later.

101 has voice acting. And seems pretty lengthy, though don't own it.

None of the sizes surprise me, to be honest.

EDIT:
Mario and Sonic 2014 surprises me.

Papercuts

fired zero bullets in the orphanage.
Pretty cool incentive, though I already have played all the US games sans Wii Party which I don't want. Guess I'll go for Pikmin.

Pikmin is such an underrated franchise. The third one especially is absolutely amazing. I want more people to experience it.
