DAMN now I regret not buying MK8 at midnight so it's preloaded when I get home. But I need that box art so no biggie. Great find! So best deals I can see:

Get MK8 online - Free Game + $5 DPP for Free Game + $5 DPP for MK8 = MK8 and free game for $50.

Get MK8 at TRU - Free Game + $5 DPP for Free Game + Game for 40% off + potential $5 DPP for that game + $5 DPP for MK8 = ~$70 + tax for 3 games!

The HD remake actually improved the sailing so it's faster.

That's awesome.

And all accounts on a Wii U are eligible for Nintendo Network Premium it seems. I have a UK account I purchased a few GAME download codes from on, in addition to my normal Australian account. Randomly checked it, I have £10 of UK credit sitting there!

WWHD is still the same game but with a lot of quality of life changes that makes it much less of a hassle. NSMBU is fun but feels like a glorified level pack for NSMBW. Not bad, but it's more of the same.

If you're up for a WW replay, go for that. Otherwise, go NSMB.

Man, what a great deal and it was so smooth to do on the Nintendo site. Well done Nintendo, this was awesome.

Anyway, I spent all of yesterday deciding between NSMBU and Wind Waker. On one hand, I've played Wind Waker before. NSMBU is new to me. On the other hand, I love Wind Waker, and don't like the NSMB series at all.

So I decided on Wind Waker. Then I realised that I'd probably end up getting both, and would prefer to have the better game as the boxed game. So I got NSMBU. Now kind of regretting it. Hope it's decent. Gonna start into it tonight.

I have 3D World in the Wii U as a disc, and MK8 and NSMBU as my two digital games, with 5 Mario digital games (SMB, Lost Levels, SMB2, SMB3, SMW) next to them from the VC. My Wii U is a literal Mario machine.

Contact Nintendo or try it again. A few people on the UK side here have said they had to register both the game and the code and then the banner came up. Hope that's the case anyway since mine hasn't shown up.

People greatly underestimate NSMBU because its a launch game. I really love Pikmin 3 and WWHD especially but I think NSMBU beats the pants off of both of them. It's also a gateway drug to New Super Luigi U, quite possibly my favorite set of levels for any platformer ever.

I rented Pikmin 3 through Gamefly once. It was pretty good, we liked it and I would buy. But I would also like to get Zelda because I'm just naturally a Zelda fan. Thanks for the input :).

It very much is. If it gets a little easy for you, the Luigi DLC is VERY worth it.

Best part of NSMBU is the multiplayer challenges. Tons of fun, requires some real coordination and teamwork. It's pretty awesome.

As a Japanese Wii U owner, I don't have a "free game" so to speak but rather a double one-month trial +40% off if I happen to buy them, once I get Mario Kart 8.

I want to try Pikmin 3 and Wonderful 101 but now I'm wondering if it's really worth it to buy MK8 just to get the 40% off (or try to complete each game within a month and not pay them
However I don't like to be rushed by someone/thing else
).
I kinda want MK8 but then again my favorite MKs were SNES & N64 versions, and thought their successors weren't as good (enjoyed them, finished the championship and that's it, didn't try MK7 tho).

So yeah, I'm wondering what to do to be honest. I guess I have until 07/30 to make a decision at least if I want to stretch things out.
My current mindset is: YOLO, power up the Wii U and buy MK8 right now...I'm just trying to be reasonable and think before acting.

So just beware that if you have an Australian Club Nintendo account linked up to a UK NNID/eShop -- or vice versa, or any interregional discrepancy between account/ID -- you will wind up with an unusable code like I did.

Fortunately I can give my code to my brother.

Picking up the game during lunch. Going to DL Wii Party U because that is the only game in the deal I do not already own. Glad you still get $5 on digital downloads for the free game. I debated going digital, but I pre-ordered and want the posters.

Edit: Wow the PAL list is so much better. I would pick up Game and Wario if I had the choice.

Sounds like I'm in the minority as I already have the four games for the NA promo. Also, I see everyone trying to decide between Pikmin/Wind Waker, but Wii Party U is also very good if you are looking for a fun multiplayer game!
