Guys, please help me decide.
I have almost all the games in the EU promo so I have to decide between Game & Wario or Sonic Lost World.
I love the Wario Ware series, but apparently Game & Wario falls flat compared to the last entries, so I'm a bit cautious.
The last Sonic game I played was Sonic & the Secret Rings (which I actually liked, although I know it has a bad rep here at GAF), yet I am kind of drawn to t he game not only because it looks like a good Sonic game but also because of th eYoshi and Zelda DLCs.
Mario & Sonic is right out. I'm not interested in it at all.
I have all the other games already.
Tell me, which game should I get?
its not a bunch of microgames like warioware, its a smaller number of shittier minigames that take longer and aren't any fun.

went with windwaker. the other NA options all seemed like bad choices(fucking hate pikmin, nsmb wii u wasn't fun and that wii party u seems like a bad idea all around)
I just don't want to use the brazilian eshop and pay 2x the game prices :<
I didn't realize Sonic was that bad haha....I'm thinking maybe I should've recommended Game & Wario simply to not burden the guy with Sonic!

It's okay, I am able to enjoy games people label as "awful".
I have played my share of truly awful games, so if Sonic LW is at least mediocre, then I will have enough fun to have justified my decision.
Pokemon's gonna last you a whole lot longer than Wind Waker. Wind Waker is the better game though.

Ah, finally understood what the mystery of the PIN Code for buying Mario Kart 8 on the eShop. It's only used for the promotion. Game is still registered automatically, and there's a survey to complete. The PIN Code is just for the free game, nothing more. So there's two entries for Mario Kart 8 in my account. Got a bit scared when I read 'Your new stars : 0' after registering the PIN code
That's... a rather unique system. And it all worked flawlessly. Guess I was right for not doing it at 10AM

How long will the code last once you've gotten it? I want to give a pikmin code to a friend, but he won't be getting a Wii U until the fall sometime.
Yeah, the US division is showing their terribleness right now. Unless the Japan headquarters told them to do this, which is pretty sad lol

Ended up getting Wii U Party, since I own the rest of the games. Was originally thinking of getting NSMB U again so I could have a digital copy and sell the disc, but figured I'd give the party game a shot for when I have friends over.

Until end of September so if you own a Pikmin disc you'll have to redeem the download and give your friend that.
Thats okay, there is no Brazilian Wii U eShop to use (unless one opened a few weeks ago). But what I can gather the shipping address does not have any goods shipped to it so look online and find a Pizza Hut or anything really to put into the field.
Pikmin. Best game on the Wii U in my opinion
Zelda if you've never played it. It's worth picking up even if you have, but if it's not totally fresh, Pikmin takes the edge.

They'll need the code from the eShop receipt regardless to get the free game, but it should happen either way.
I'm having the same problem everyone else is.
Trying to decide between Pikmin and Zelda. I know Zelda is good because I've completed it on the Gamecube when it first released, but my kids have never played it so I thought they might really enjoy it. Then again, Pikmin might be more fun, especially if it has co-op we can play together.

Account needs to be linked 24h before purchase for the game to be registered. So if you didn't do it like that, try asking customer support to fix that for you, they're generally pretty cool with that sort of stuff.
Sounds like Pikmin for you, the multiplayer is a lot of fun. But get Zelda at some point for sure.

Yup! Needs to be US, PAL or JP though. It's region locked like discs are.

I think he needs the address to get the free game especially if you haven't set-up the address yet.

So I'm getting Windwaker HD, and it will be my first time playing it ever. (I never got a Gamecube)

It very well would have a great shot at being my favorite Zelda game (topping Link to the Past) if it wasn't for the sailing. I still hate those parts so much, even with the additions to the HD release that made it easier to deal with. Blah.
I wish they had one other game in this promotion. I already own the big three and I just don't care about Wii Party U.

The thing about Sonic LW is that the quality is all over the place and the controls take a bit to get used to. Some of the stages are tons of fun (more fun than anything in SM3DW IMO) while other stages are a total pain. There's a surprising amount of variety and not all of it works. However, with that said, I enjoyed most of the game greatly. Oh and the soundtrack is fantastic & the game is one of the best looking games on the system so it's got that going for it too.
Something to keep in mind is that the game has been improved since launch with a patch that improves the life situation (you start with more lives & you get a bonus life for getting enough rings now, just like in other Sonic games) & the free Zelda DLC is short but sweet and makes it easier to unlock the later levels in the main game since the unlock resource is so easy to get there.

Can't confirm for myself, although that would be really cool if Nintendo did do that. If you got MK8 online, you'd essentially be getting $10 off plus a free game
Opted for Pikmin 3, if anyone is trying to make a similar decision.
The multiplayer features on Pikmin 3 won me over (hear great things about the Bingo Battle Mode) and I can buy the W101 for used cheaper than I can buy Pikmin 3.

Yup pikmin was 599 for me. Two free $5 coupons, a free game I wanted and Mario kart 8 for 20% off, twas a good day.

I sold my Copy of WW for about 54 during the Target 3x trade in. Now I got WW back.

For those who are wondering about Wii U Party, it's good fun with with friends, the mini games are way better then Wii Party, less pure luck one. I'd say i play more this then Nintendoland when i have friend over, but then again MK8 will take that spot starting today.

I know this has been discussed ad nauseam but... WW or Pimin 3? I like Zelda games, but I didn't own a gamecube but I also have heard that the sailing stuff is boring and drags a lot the games... Pikmin, well, I always found interesting the game but I dislike A LOT timers in games, I want to do things at my own pace. So, which has the better experience? wich one will last me longer?

So i downloaded the game, then i did the survey and then i register the pin code.
After that the system downloads a Star icon, but when i open it only shows me the promo banner.
What im i doing wrong and where can i donload the 2 games for the promo?
