EU (and AU) is the only region it's out in. Are you sure? Try booting it up again. Sometimes the updates are finnicky.

i usually get updates immediately. restarted the console and the game several times, played a game for a while, nothin' doin'

Beat Metroid Zero Mission and unlocked... Original Metroid.
Which looks better than the NES version on the virtual console because it isn't dark as shit.

Hmm, finally hit 1,000 platinum points on My Nintendo. Debating if I want to get WarioWare Touched, or wait & see what gets added in May, seeing as those themes are going away, & they might add ones that I want (like that systems one).

I would wait. Its just one more week and you can always get WarioWario if nothing interesting is added.

Yeah, that was my thoughts as well. The only other things leaving the first of May are all those discounts, & I can't imagine there'd be one that'd interest me. The other games are leaving the first of July or August, with WW Touched staying until July 1st. Hell, TPicross has until Oct. 1st.

The only thing I'm debating is the Mario Suit for Miitomo, but now that I have the Super Famicom hoodie, I don't want to change out of that, not to mention it's a suit, so it's harder to deal with swapping clothing each day for the daily points.

Definitely a sparse week, comparatively speaking. Would a Direct before or just after the investors meeting be beneficial for Nintendo?

Don't always jump to Direct because the PR isn't filled with top tier releases. nevermind Yokai Watch, amiibo Challenge, Shutshimi being there^^

I lack Peach and Rosalina. Should probably get those.
That was Nintendo's plan all along.

I love this series and played them all, but I don't have any of the specific amiibo. Oh well, I'll play the default levels. I really hope they'll make a full game out of the new concepts soon, because I love them (watched some videos), and it's exactly what the series needed IMO. I hope the series won't just be "free if..." or mobile from now on.

The last Direct had release dates up until the middle of July, so it would be redundant to have another before June/July at the very least.
Direct's are seasonal anyway (unless they're for a specific game) so the next one will be for Summer releases (MH:G, Rhythm Paradise, DQ7...) so is months away still.

The last Direct had almost 40 seperate announcements and only took place last month.
I know people are eager for them but the suggestion one may be happening on a fortnightly basis is a little silly.

Finished the Card Jockey demo with 2/8 wins. Game got hard.

This game is really confusing at times, I even resorted to RTFM to see what was happening! Like, you can get a 5* start card, play perfect games of solitaire, stay in the comfort zone all race, avoid collisions, collect a boost card and then still come 14th of 16 or something.

Yeah. I assume the strength of your horse is ultimately a deciding factor, unless I'm missing something. But it does appear as though losing a load of races is an inevitability.

Still confused about how much content you can access in Amiibo Challenge w/o Amiibos.

Per the PR today from NOE:

While any amiibo figure can be used to play through the game, amiibo figures of certain Mario series characters will each open up a Mini Toy of that character for players to control. Would-be puzzle solvers must then make use of that character’s special abilities to reach the specific amiibo door and gain access to additional special levels. As well as Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad, and Donkey Kong, extra challenges can be accessed by scanning in amiibo of Rosalina, Diddy Kong, Bowser, Bowser Jr. and Yoshi, all of whom are making their first appearance in the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series.

Is there a rundown somerwhere about how much game there is to play if you don't have any amiibo...?

Also, in Amiibo Challenge, once a level is unlocked is it permanent? I have all the compatible amiibo but I don't want to carry them with me everywhere I want to play. (I take a long bus ride from work which I use for playing 3DS).

Might want to state if its for EU or US since it's locked to whatever region you are in.

I have bought the bundle already so I'm not interested in the codes.
