1) say nothing
2) let fans build hype. Fantasising about Prime 4, GTA on Switch and Nintendo releasing Switch 2 with Scorpio specs
3) reveal a mediocre set of titles and content as if it was the second coming
This is how I feel Nintendo works now. They don't really have much to offer except their staples and the odd new thing like splatoon. They can't really get any hype from third parties or value offerings (they need every cent they can get). So they will market the shit outta what they have and hope it sticks, which anecdotally it seems to be doing with Switch so I expect it to continue.
4. Change the defending narrative for yet another thin Nintendo lineup from "duh, at least wait for E3" to "duh, E3 is not important, wait for the next Direct and keep playing Mario Kart".
Among other things I expect that an uncomfortable amount of time will be wasted on Skyrim. You'd think they had 3rd parties on board for a handheld, but if so, they would have shown much more than a pre-development Suda "game" during the pre-launch conference.
