Q3 PlayStation division = $0.767b

CY2020 Nintendo = $5.88b
CY2020 PlayStation division = $3.33b

Sorry, but this is an absolutely silly comparison.

The launch of a new console (sold at a loss) diminishes profits. It doesn't enhance them.

Why don't you compare revenue? Or perhaps that would be inconvenient to your narrative?

Switch manufacturing is probably dirt cheap. And the sell most of they games (even old ones) at full price, aren't they?
 
So? PS5 is not (officially confirmed). Hence your comparison is completely out of whack.
Quarterly comparison and CY comparison, both are normal comparison.
Sony is having the best year for their PlayStation division in term of Operating profits, do we need to use other years instead?

You are comparing two companies in extremely different situations to create a fanboysh narrative. One is launching a new console sold at a loss. The other is not. It's not rocket science.
