Expect this thing to be huge in schoolyards, offices, etc.One thing though. Who will have enough space to fully use it?
Plenty. Hahaha.Guess how many grown up men will buy this game "for their kids".
i got that Labo VR just waiting, Nintendo! let's see some Mario Kart VR.
Every time i am reading posts like these I am wondering why there is such a demand for MK9
- The graphics would stay pretty much the same as in MK8
- The tracks, drivers and carts will the mostly recycled.
Sure, they will add some new stuff, but lets be honest, most wouldn't be new, so what do you hope to get?
I feel like MK9 would require a new, more powerful console to make sense.
This new idea for MK here is much more fitting for Switch, and pretty damn innovative.
MK8 is over six years old.
Sure, but it was ported 3 years ago, and again, just because it is old doesnt mean a new version would be significantly different enough.MK8 is over six years old.
How is this going to work? I'm assuming it will need an extremely good wireless connectionExpect this thing to be huge in schoolyards, offices, etc.

My opinion stands: as long as MK9 would just feature 95% of the same with the same level of graphics there is no real need; once a better console is out a new MK is a given however.
The point is that they haven't really come up with so much new stuff in recent entries. Sure there were small new things and additions. But we have been mostly driving the same charcters with the same carts on repeating tracks.I don’t agree. You seem to be fixated on graphics. Who cares? MK Wii didn’t have significantly better graphics than Double Dash.
Why would a new Mario Kart be 95% the same? Just come up with new stuff. How about something different for single player for once? And naturally we need new tracks and character.
But you are probably right and it will only come with the next console. I am just a disgruntled Switch owner who has already played 90% of the Switch’s games on the Wii U
The hot item this Christmas starts with P and ends with 5.This will be a hot item on Christmas, especially considering everyone woo be at home because of Covid20
They really do do things differently to anyone else. That’s why I bought a Switch. Yes sometimes it can be annoying with their idiosyncrasies but it’s a package deal. Personally I fucking love it.Between Labo, the Lego stuff, and this, we can definitely say that Nintendo is interested in an intersection of toys, physicality, and traditional gaming. It's interesting how much of a trend it's becoming for them.
And this looks absolutely amazing fun, of course.
Any other developer would have map packs and character passes up your ass. It's like they look at their biggest earning opportunities and try to avoid them.Meanwhile 20 million seller Mario Kart 8 Deluxe gets NOTHING.
So this is gonna be another labo
$100 for a set? And you need a Switch for every player.
Sounds awfully expensive. And if you don’t have a big house this will end up in a box in your closet come February.

sorry if im being just realistic,as cute as it shows in the video the real thing will be much less stellar, thar rc kart is cheap, they control like shit, and the video feed with the switch its not gonna be like the video, whats the size of your house ? this is just a novelty and its gonna get dust on two o tree months, try out? i have race on rc cars since i was 8,tell me more about how these things handle, specially the cheap ones...A surprisingly charming, fun, and completely novel idea that's underrated by those who couldn't get past their own ego to try it out? Cool, I'm completely on board.
