I really really hope their 1st year isn't just 1 WiiU/3DS port per month. They should release all these games in the first 2-3 months and be done with them.

Pikmin is happening too. You know, the follow-up to one of the best Wii U games!

... that sadly not even Wii U owners bought. :(

No its a dumb idea to release like half a dozen Wii u ports in the first 3 months. For one, they will cannabilizd each other in sales, and secondly, droughts will happen and these games when spaced out will help in those periods.

We know Nintendo for a very long time now on how they release their big 1st party games. They have never released 3 AAA 1st party games in one month(
Ports included) for one console. I don't remember the last time they released two, but its pretty rare. Nintendo knows what they are doing.

I don't really care too much about which of Zelda and Mario comes first, but I hope that both are released within the first 6 months of Switch. Having one of them postponed to holidays would be pretty awful.

Mario/Splatoon- launch

Mario Kart- May

Zelda- June

Xenoblade- July

Smash- September

Pokemon- November

Let's pretend this list is legit (you're missing April tho) I would swap Xenoblade for a Nintendo made competitive FPS because a) that genre is missing in the launch window and b) June already has an open world game with BotW.

Damn, Nintendo really needs an engaging FPS series on their own.

Apart from launch where I think we'll see 2-3 Nintendo games show up, I expect 1 major game per month. With all the rumored ports, I think they'll easily hit it. I also expect a major system seller at launch, another big game a few months later, and likely two new games for the fall. Generally the order I see them launching in:

Mario
Rabbids
Rumored new IP
Splatoon
Mario Kart
Zelda
Smash
XCX
Pokémon

I also expect Pikmin to arrive in 2017, potentially a port of Pokken Tournament, maybe a new Nintendo Warriors game from Koei-Tecmo (Zelda or otherwise), and possibly Retro's game (but that could be held to 2018). It's also probably time for Animal Crossing, but I could see that waiting for 2018.

Besides Pokémon, I'm really not sure what their big holiday system seller would be, and I think they should have one. That makes me think they'll either launch a new IP, a surprise revival, or Retro's game.

So Laura teased her latest leak in Obe's live stream before posting it on Twitter.

Seems like they're still buds. My bet's on her handing him those leaks.

If they add the Melee-style post-game stats & achievments to the Smash Bros 4 port, I will buy 2 copies! Also please bring back the individual specialised 'break the targets' stages. Thanks, Sakurai!

Smash 4 Switch's additions are supposedly gonna be more modest compared to Mario Kart 8 & Splatoon (according to Laura Kate Dale). Source Gaming is currently hearing only 2 additional characters & a bunch of 3DS content (& all of the DLC, of course).

I think that will mainly be because Smash will be added to with new DLC after launch.

Ice Climbers & Inklings will probably make it for release.

It's weird seeing people cry about ruined surprises. Maybe it's just me but I don't need surprises to get really hype for events like this and E3.

You are implying (again) that the list is the full picture. That's why you're hopeless.

People posted a List.
Others said was the most likely so far
I said it would be a disaster

So, clarified that I didnt say that
What is your stance on that list?

I don't really see what's the difference between being surprised today by some news or in 12 days?
I even think that you would get a double joy by finding the news at one time and seeing the trailer at another time.

Assuming the surprise is a positive one.

Vied for a tag related to cocks, so here it is.
Pre ordered from GAME today in store. 17th at that one. Not knowing shit about price or release games is concerning but with people already getting in there I had to be sure.

It's kind of like watching a movie, you wouldn't want spoilers before watching the whole thing even if you'll be surprised regardless.

Some fans are like that, too. They want spectacle with the reveal.

????

It's literally a list of a few (not even close to all) of the games we've heard about spaced out over the year without any sort of insider backing, just being a guess. The fact that there are many, many games we know that are coming outside of that list makes it pretty silly to assume that list is even close to accurate.

I'm gonna do the same when I get back to my Uni city. Whilst I likely won't go to the midnight release picking the Switch up in store is gonna feel so great. The Switch is the first console I'll actually be getting at launch so I don't want to miss out. Where did you preorder from?

Playstation has one year exclusivity on VR for Resident Evil. So I'm calling BS.

Yep, so now people can stop to take that VR shit seriously.

My stance is that you have either huge comprehension problems, or are just desperately trolling. People are posting tentative schedule of how the ACTUALLY KNOWN GAMES could fit on a release schedule. They aren't posting predictions of the whole line-up.

I reckon that Resident Evil VII coming to Switch is legit, but he's excitedly joining dots that aren't the case with his VR info, leading him to mistakenly report that REVII VR is coming to Switch.

I'd rather have an info blowout from Nintendo than fed scraps from leakers. Surprises are great and can add to the intensity of the experience if done well. For tech I like to think back to the og iPhone or og wii presentation. I don't think it would have been nearly as impactful if the present ration was leaked as much as they are leaked now.

One of the reasons I've been skeptical towards leakers is because during E3 the Microsoft conference was leaked in its entirety yet those same leakers didn't leak the Sony one because "they didn't want to ruin the surprise." If the leakers themselves admit it, and refrain from doing it to (what I can assume) are their favorite brands then yeah, a leak does make a difference. I'm fully expecting some people in the event thread to be lukewarm because of the leaks and nothing else.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
It's extremely difficult to understand what's going on in those videos, but well...he said Capcom is currently gettting through resolution problems to make it run with VR, and they're working on motion controls, so it's going to take a while. I suppose it's going to be beginning of 2018, then, combined with the one year VR exclusivity. Unless the game comes out earlier with VR patched later.

Well, he also claims it wouldn´t come out later and never specifified a date. He will try to talk himself out of this, I guess.
Still it´s bullshit. I can only see some very low quality style of VR games on Switch if any.

So we both think that the list would be disappointing as first party effort for 2017, right?
I am not trolling, I am concerned the first months could look like that

About RE I doubt but not because of VR
capcom seems pretty unlikely to bring the brand back looking at how the HD renasters have been skipping wiiu

I swear when Obe1 lists the different outlets that gave him a shoutout at the beginning of the video he looks and sounds like a movie villain.

There's not a single reason to think it's the whole first party effort and no one in the world (except you) is even remotely thinking that's the case.

The system is going to have a lot of WiiU ports to start it's first year. All those games got significantly hindered by how shit the WiiU was. They want to recoup investment and early in the system life is the time to do it.

Would it be disappointing? If you owned a WiiU 100%. But I don't find it indicative of the systems first party going forward.

Is there a multiplatform game you own, you'd rebuy on Switch?

Mine would be Fifa 17.

Overwatch, Dark Souls, Hearthstone, Hyper Light Drifter, Salt and Sanctuary, Stardew Valley maybe even more.

all games I'd LOVE to play on the go/in the bed, on the sofa while my fiancée
then wife
watches TV, in a hotel.

it's up to the quality of the port tho! Also, I'd give myself a max of 3 rebuys unless there are big sales on the games I want.
