You guys don't get the point, or you do but are playing dumb. It's the other way around. So now I'm being forced to pay laptop prices for a desktop. THIS is the point here. And I'm not happy. I'm never planning on taking this thing outside and all I want is a home console to play my Nintendo games on. You guys are telling me to be ok with paying a premium for something I'll never be using. Not everyone is a handheld gamer, so try and put yourselves in others' shoes.
No... you really don't get the point and it's pretty obvious. You aren't buying a desktop at laptop prices, you're buying a laptop while knowing that you won't use it as one and complaining about the price. If you decide to only use the Switch as a home console, that doesn't automatically turn it into one in terms of value. If you want a console for that price, you have two options on the market right now. Just like if you only wanted a desktop, you could fucking buy one because it fits your needs better.
Do the math mate. £250 = ~AU$422. Retail will jack up the price to $450. That's just nuts.
Isn't the minimum wage in AU like $17? In the U.S., it's $7.25... You have every right to be annoyed that things are priced higher as a result, but don't pretend like you don't know why.
