I hate to ask this but.... health bars are new yes?
From default, yeah. You had to get a special item in Wind Waker to see them (maybe other games, can't remember).

You're eye is drawn right to it. So good.Mannnnn, the reticle has the number of remaining arrows etc.

Mumble mumble two ductaped gamecubes mumble mumble. Expecting the NX version to be smoother full 1080p version, which many of us will GLADLY take given that the artstyke looks absolutely gorgeous. Why is everyone assuming the NX version of this game is going to be any better?
I would LOVE for this to be the case (better resolution, better frame-rate, etc) but let's remember this is Nintendo....the same Nintendo that released a Gamecube graphically identical version of Twilight Princess for at the time...their next generation console (Wii of course).
...Is that Hyrule castle in the distance?
Notifications for items only appear once! Yas!
still not really impressed until we see more of them just barren wasteland and some bobbling.. until now I don't think this Zelda does anything we haven't already seen in other games
Just tuned in, so was girl link ever confirmed?
I mean the stream isn't helping and the game is a year out, but in the end it's an open world WiiU game, there's not much to be done with that hardware. It's definitely a bit rough, especially when looking at stuff far away. Sad LOD, among other things.
I haven't seen too much with Dark Souls, but:
- Weapon durability
- Stamina meter
- Counter system
are all new elements (afaik) to TLoZ. They aren't exclusive or first to Souls games, but given that all those elements are present in both and well liked by a large number of folks here, it's no surprise that the comparison is being made.
