Akiba Trip also looks like fun though I'm more excited for the sequel.
This series was originally released on handhelds, so the Vita version isn't inferior in any way. (Some people say it's the best.)Hmm, I'm certainly tempted by Akiba's Trip - but choosing a version is holding me back. It's not really something I want to be playing on a small Vita screen, but knowing that the PS4 version exists I don't really want to waste money on the PS3 version even though I don't own a PS4 yet. However on the other hand, if everyone holds out for the PS4 version it won't end up selling well enough for that to get brought over regardless.
Tough choices. I think I may have to see how much the Vita version RRP will be, not exactly my system of choice to play it on but at least if the PS4 version comes over it wouldn't feel like a waste of money double dipping like it would if I buy the PS3 version.
Yeah I can understand that, but I generally like to play open world games (and racing games) on a big screen rather than hunched over a handheld. That said, is Akiba's Trip going to be compatible with the Playstation TV? Japanese release currently has Vita TV support so I think it's a sure bet the localised version will also have Vita TV compatibility.Yeah I can understand that, but I generally like to play open world games (and racing games) on a big screen rather than hunched over a handheld. August is still what we're shooting for, so we might be joining those ranks! Which would be kind of ironic, since there are ads for both Disgaea 4 and Neptunia Rebirth *in* Akiba's Trip, as well as free DLC items associated with both Disgaea and Neptunia.
See, that's how awesome we are. Not only are we presenting this game to you guys with dual audio (and dual text, for that matter!), but we're even ADVERTISING OUR COMPETITION within the game itself. If that ain't hardcore, I don't know what is!Heheheheh...

He is a silent protagonist, but you make dialogue choices for him.I just watched some gameplay footage on Youtube - in some weird way, it recalls to me a Dreamcast game. And I mean that in a good way. Doesn't seem like it plays like either, but from the setting and visual style, I can't help but think of Jet Set Radio and Shenmue. I may well buy this when it comes out.
The protagonist isn't of the silent variety is he? Please say it isn't so.
When multiple retailers list that as the date I tend to believe it.I wish people didn't take release dates from Amazon and Gamestop etc as fact.

Dual Text? Like Persona 4 Arena?
That's impressivepls don't region lock
That happens pretty often. Like online journalism, I think sometimes they just copy+paste their info from other sources, especially if they at least want a placement for a pre-order.
The players goal is to identify vampires called Synthisters with the help of an in-game smartphone app, then engage them in battle to strip their clothes off so their bodies are fully exposed to sunlight. Boasting a unique combat system in which everyday objects become weapons,
The Vita version has an AR mode, though to be fair, it doesn't really add much to the game -- it just lets you take pictures of the Akiba's Trip girls standing around on your desk or what-not.
Cool feature to have, but if you pick the PS3 version, I doubt you'll miss it.

Actually, we provide the placeholder dates in a lot of cases, as most retailers absolutely *must* have a date in their systems in order to take preorders at all. Unlike a lot of other publishers, though, we don't "post-date" our games -- we'd rather give a reasonable placeholder date and miss it than give a conservative placeholder date and sit on a finished game for weeks or months.
That's odd, they don't let you move it up? Have you considered more obvious placeholders(end of month/quarter/year)?
I'm not sure why anyone would be worried that it would be.Just in case anyone was worried, the game will not be censored in EU regions.
So excited to play this game! It just looks so silly and outrageous :0
