A man knows how to change actors. Shame. Dude was awesome.
Yea that sucks I liked him.

Not as good as the last episode.

Khaleesi is a badass. She should take over the world with the Starks.

The Stark mother (Catilyn?) is such a dumb ass sending Jamie back home. Hopefully he doesn't make it (he's such a handsome fucker).

I(think) remember Stannis saying the Tyrells have good numbers but aren't the most battle tested people.

It would seem to me that Tywin would still wish to lead the forces and that yeah, he would want to make sure casterly rock doesn't get sieged.

Not sure why he'd say that, the Tyrell's have probably the biggest, strongest army and a Navy fleet to boot

Oh alright then.. That makes things very interesting.

he def. does! He says something about them all being pretty boys who've never seen war or something like that! It's in the episode where they meet on the cliffs

I don't like posting in this thread but this is annoying me.

Her name is 'Daenerys Targaryen' or 'Dany' for short. 'Khaleesi' is the Dothraki name for 'Queen'.

Ahaha, I was going to say this, but you beat me to it.

In any event, great episode. I almost cried a couple of times. First with Tirion and Shae, and second with the Maester in the Godswood (name escapes me currently).

And how about that mood whiplash, huh? From inspired at Theon's speech, from laughter when he got knocked out, to sadness when the Maester got stabbed. Yikes.

I was hoping that Tywin Lannister would have come around to his son. I figured that he did, what when he appointed Tirion acting hand in his absence, but it looks like House Lannister is bound and determined to shit on the Halfman for as long as they can. No credit, nothing. Just a crappy little room. Were it not for Tirion, There would have BEEN no King's Landing.

People in this thread were pretty keen on figuring out that the Lannisters and the Tyrells were going to join the houses by marrying Margery to Joffery. After I heard it, it made sense, but I didn't pick up on it at the time when I was watching the show. What the HELL does this mean for Sansa? And where is the Hound?

Welp, 10 months to wait. I'm going to have to find a lot to do.

It was under siege. It was a small version of what happened at Kings Landing.
Kozak said:
White walkers only kill those they believe will be valuable to their army. Thats why that guy in the first episode of season 1 got away, he was as useless a fighter as Tarly is.

Doubt it though..
I thought it had to do with fear or cowardice.

I don't think Cercei ordered his murder (Or Tyrion who went to war to bring him back to begin with). I think the guard had more than enough reason to kill Tyrion himself. I suppose Joffrey could have ordered it too.

I didn't really figure that out in the sense that it would happen so quickly. In fact, I assumed Sansa would escape leaving Margery as the option. I got the impression that Littlefinger was angling to marry Sansa or use her as leverage against Starks. Hard to tell with that guy.

The Hound can only go north. The Baratheon lands are essentially Stannis or Lannister lands (Stannis still has to have a sizeable army although his navy was reduced.) Hound can either join up with Stannis, the Starks, or the Wall. I got the implication that he was heading to Stark country because that's where Sansa will hopefully be. Those two are linked fo some reason.

Besides the confusion that everybody here has over what happened at Winterfell, I really thought this was another great episode.

Also, this guy

Edit: Read the spoiler rules again. Better safe than sorry (even though I never read the books and don't know anything about stuff that didn't happen on the show).

Yeah, how did he get back there ? How long did it take him to get to Kings Landing by boat and he now went back with a boat? And what boat did he use to get back?

Maybe he teleported via a magic Vagina portal.
There were tons of boats and men left and Kings Landing was cleaned up so at least a few days had passed.

Tywin was there to stop the siege not finish the war.

Theon was right.

That guy blowing the vuvuzela needs to die.

And whoever kills deserve to have a bronze statue erected in his honor.

Winterfell burning was very confusing.

There are only two possible reasons for this. The army Rob Stark trusted to take it back aren't his allies as he originally thought or Theon was knocked out to be escorted home to Pike and the the army destroyed Winterfell assuming Theon's soldiers were still holding it when they were actually long gone.

After the awesomeness of the last episode, this final episode felt a little flat to me. There were a couple of "holy shit" moments but no more than in a normal episode of GoT.

Excellent ending. There were several scenes at the end where I kind of expected them to cut it and roll credits, which would have been disappointing because I kept hoping for an ending scene that would be on the same "oh shit" level as "Suddenly, dragons" from season 1.

I'd say "Suddenly, zombies" works pretty well as that.

Also, what's the best map out there of Westeros? I'm confused about certain distances.

Why the FUCK does Sansa not leave? Beaten, raped, killed or send back to her family? Nah, beatings sound good. I was really expecting Geoffry to die this season after going so bad.

I'm better the white walkers will be defeated by the Dragons eventually. We already know the fire is their weakness.

No holy shit moments but the tension is being wound up more and more and I really enjoyed the series as a whole. The finale episode was incredibly engaging. Im going to watch S2 in one go in a few weeks and digest it all without having to wait. I loved how all the characters have strayed into the dark side in one form or another.

Im hoping that Sansa is beginning to learn the rules of the game and that is why she stayed. The Queen gave her some good advice.

Anyone else think the dragon scene was really awkward. He was just standing there, "oh, hi Dragons. Hmm. Fire. Nah, they won't burn me. I'll just stand here. I'm sure I'm perfectly safe. Oh, that little bastard burnt my arm! I'll just continue to stand here, tho. I'm sure he won't try again. I'm not going to run away and get to a safe distance, that would be far too prudent."

I'm guessing she is heavily guarded and can't escape without anyone noticing. She has pretty good reasons to flee or try to kill the king, so that must be why.

well to be fair he's a warlock, and that was the first time he'd have seen them breath fire or even know they can. i'm sure he thought "its ok i can defend a small fireball like that now that i know it can do it"

He probably wasn't expecting resistance from baby dragons and a chained up Daenerys. I guess after he got the first flames upon him he just got so surprised he froze? I dunno.

I feel like everything with that warlock was pretty weird. Never really understood his goals.

Holy fuck, those White Walkers looked amazing. Straight out of a big budget feature film.

And the assassin face changing? WHAT THE HELL

I really wish she had gone with him, her fucking a badass assassin would have been great.

I beg your pardon? He's a little old for her.

This is what I said in the other thread. Too lazy to retype:

He knew that at best the dragons could cook steaks and going off what Varys said, it took years for dragons to mature enough to be dangerous- something he would have known too. What he didn't know is how much influence Dany had on the dragons.

The missing link was how powerful Dany was & I think they set this up a couple of episodes ago. She is one of a kind even by her family's standards. I love how the show constanty underestimates the power of magic/the unkown.

Especially since he's shown he can use his doppelgangers to absorb damage(like when Jorah stabbed him in the back two episodes ago). I thought it was weird as well.

Why is everyone confused about Theon and his men? Burning Winterfell aside, Robb told his ally that the men from Pyke could go home freely if they surrendered. Turning in Theon was probably part of the deal.

I still don't buy it. In the scene he said that their power (i.e., the warlocks) comes from the same source as the dragon's power (or something to that effect) and that when she's around they are much stronger.

Plus, as the poster above said, why did his clones suddenly disappear?

Well, the main point is the burning of Winterfell and how the soldiers never looked for Bran and Rickon, which was their mission too.

I still don't buy it. In the scene he said that their power (i.e., the warlocks) comes from the same source as the dragon's power (or something to that effect) and that when she's around they are much stronger.

Plus, as the poster above said, why did his clones suddenly disappear?

He said his powers awoke when the dragons were born, which makes it seem that dragons and their dark arts have a connection, but I don't believe that would be (as it wasn't) enough for him to survive a dragon attack. And just like the clone that was pierced with the sword and disappeared, I guess his magic is limited by concentration. So when his arm caught on fire he was all "WTF this melts my fleeeeeesh" and they disappeared. Then they fucking torched him.

I found it understandable he just stand there because:
He was feeling fucking victorious of trapping everyone and being 'more powerful' by the default.
He did not knew what the dragons were capable of, and when she gives the first and second order, the dragon puffs smoke and then a lil ball.
He gets shocked when the lil mofo manages to hit him (and dragon fire melts damn rocks!).

I really enjoyed this episode, though of course, I wanted more loose ends to be tied up. I'm going to read the books soon, so I likely won't be posting in this thread next season. It's the little things the show alludes to like the 'Rains of Castamere' song that make me want to read the books to get all of the background.

Plus, as the poster above said, why did his clones suddenly disappear?

It seemed like after chaining her, he let his guard down because he didn't think anything was possible. He was standing right in front of her because she was no threat. I think he was just confused when he got hit the first time.

Why is everyone confused about Theon and his men? Burning Winterfell aside, Robb told his ally that the men from Pyke could go home freely if they surrendered. Turning in Theon was probably part of the deal.

The burning part is what confuses me. I just don't think leaving that unclear was good. It felt sloppy.

That's the thing, though. Both of those don't make sense together. Winterfell was surrounded, and the iron islanders knew it. They didn't know about any of the hidden ways out of Winterfell, yet they seemed totally casual in their "lets go home" attitude, so we're lead to believe that they did hear about Robb's offer of amnesty and betrayed Theon instead of following him to their deaths.

I'm fine with that, but why burn Winterfell, then? I can't imagine them expecting to be able to peacfully surrender to the bastard's forces with Winterfell burning, so why would they have done it at all?

Really curious as to who the white walker riding a horse was

From the hair (even though it's frozen) I would have to say an ex-lanister or Targaryen

She thought she'd be safe now that she is no longer betrothed to Joffrey and clearly thought Littlefinger was trying to trap her by offering her an escape route (since she went back the routine she told Joffrey the whole season).

Yeah, I don't get the burning thing either. If the greyjoys were going to surrender Theon to the Stark's men, then who burned it? Was it actually someone else outside the walls?
