Sorry in advance if I'm the hundredth caller on this but can anyone confirm if I can play the digital version at midnight eastern? I'm about to preload it and I'm just curious if anyone knows. Some games on PSN work at midnight, some aren't available till midnight Pacific...

It will be available to play at midnight EST, and 9PM PST.
 
I wish you can build / craft / upgrade your own buggy or something. Not only would it quicken land exploration, but would had another gameplay layer of managing and upgrading another vehicle outside of your primary ship.
 
How many peeps do we have in the ps4 community now? I was #7 when I joined last night.

We might get that in a future update. Sean stated in an interview a while back that that is something they want to work on. Don't know if things have changed.
 
Might get my hands on a copy in an hour or two, but apparently there's another server wipe happening today right before release? What exactly is lost in a wipe?

I haven't seen them make noises up close, but there are definitely animal noises. The planet I was on recently had brontosaurus type noises echoing from the distance.

I think the wipe happened right before patch 1.03 went up. I don't think there's another one today, unless someone else could clarify.

Except he's also said every player basically carries an online lobby with them, which can handle a couple of other people entering their instance and flying by. I don't know if that's still true, but he said it. And then he says we shouldn't expect any MP aspects at all. It's confusing.

I've seen them make noises up close. Some of them are pretty weird.

Wireless keyboards and mice. I totally chill on my bed and play on my PC via an HDTV, I don't have wires for any of my equipment, except for power and the HDMI to connect to my TV.
 
I'm at a point now where I feel I'm walking super slow that I'm Holding down R1 to move faster since I'm lunging at nothing :/

Single player with light mp element. You can see your friends on the galactic map but will probably never run into a person. There's no partying up or anything of that sort.

It's like watching the phantoms of other players in Dark Souls, they inhabit the same instance as you but that is the extent of it, there is no interaction beyond that. You cannot team up and explore, you cannot land and build shit together. You might see people, but that's it. You see them. That is how my understanding of it has been since they've talked about it.

IF (and I think that is still an if) what you do is seen by others you could theoretically leave a giant note by using your multitool to carve the words in the side of a cave or rock formation or something. I'd love to know if this type of thing is shared or only in our own instances.

There's about a 0.1% chance of bumping into another player. The only thing Sean has indicated is that you'll be able to see them, nothing about how much you'll be able to interact, if at all.

But if you can see your friend that means you can explore together. Sure there won't be any tag above their character or arrow pointing where they are if you get separated, but still.

Meeting another player, at least early in the game, is virtually impossible.

Yeah, that seems likely. But you could still theoretically use that to go exploring together with a friend, if you manage to find each other. Unless it's like Souls in that players fade in and then out again.

It's confusing because seeing other players is technically possible but there's no way of finding them amongst the trillions of stars.

There's a chance they might expand on this in an update down the line, but right now it's effectively a solo game.
