Has anyone found a big crashed freighter ship like in that trailer a while back? It was on a snowy planet.

And has anyone found a planet that isn't super hilly? I feel like they all have super dramatic/steep hills.

Just found a spot on a planet with huge Emeril deposits with a trading hub in between them. 500 Emeril is netting me approx 140,000 units. I'll have a good sized ship in no time at all.

That was me this morning. Collected 500k+ credits in an hour. What's selling for me, emeril or gold? I found a planet with large gold deposits, but more spreadout. Might be worth going there if it's a much higher value.

Not yet. Found the freighter in orbit shooting at me and most planets have been deserts or oceans with mountains and craters. Want to get to a grass planet soon.

Just ended my day 3 stream. Another 4 hours or so of greatness.

I had a bad bunch of planets this time though. About 2 planmets out of like 10 were really cool. The rest were pretty bland. I instead started doing some main quest stuff.

What do you do with the
Atlas stones? Sell them or keep? I've just got one

I found a cavesystem literally filled with some sort of Pearls that sold for 30.000 each O_o

Hmm any idea where to collect the actual blueprint for a hyperdrive? I guess I dont have that.. not really a problem as I said most if not all ships have a hyperdrive already.

So started the game.
First impressions were:
"This is really crap, what am I supposed to be doing, where is this element I need"
Followed by "god I'm lost, where is my ship, god this is so boring"

Got off planet and went to next one... And next one... And next one...

4 planets in solar system,

1 has loads of stuff in it and very tropical, 1 is chemical rain planet with little life
1 is a frozen wasteland with some wildlife
1 is a mix of everything

It was boring to begin with, I am going to admit I was disappointed but by god I've grown to love it. Its the game I hoped it was and I am actually not wanting to leave my solar system just now (Charlotte its called).

The only criticism of the game and that may every well be because of how my cards have been dealt but I'm finding it difficult to make money, my ship holds nothing really in relation to inventory. But I'll get there. Need to stop for the evening but as first play goes this game could be up there.

Thanks Hello Games... Thank you.

DO. NOT. SELL. THEM.

They are needed to complete the Atlas storyline in the end, you need 10 of them in total.

Has anyone seen creatures this big yet?

Half , maybe 3/4.
My home planet had grass and trees, haven't seen seen any since.

Ahh so if you spurn atlas you dont get those items?

Was it dumb not to go with Atlas? I chose explore freely man.

It was fun doing it, you learn a ton of words at every Atlas station and get free warp drives.

I assume the payoff would have been good but since I only kept 2/10 of my Atlas Stones, I had to leave and I haven't found a way to get anymore stones, nor do I know my way back to the final station.

How to properly place upgrades.

Notice the color coding. Each upgrade has to be next to, or connected to OTHER upgrades next to the main component.

I tested this and you still get the effect of the upgrade whether it's connected and lit up or not. My guess is that connecting them like that gets you some kind of bonus, because it definitely doesn't determine whether the upgrade functions or not.

correct. the upgrade takes effect no matter where you install it. installing it next to the same type of components gives you bonuses

You chose explore freely in the beginning? So did I. I have an Atlas Stone in my inventory. I'm not sure how far you are into it, but you'll have another chance with Atlas. Scan systems and check out anything that pops up.

Regarding the color coding with the upgrades. I just redid my multi tool.
I paid close attention to the mag upgrade. With the upgrade connected to the bolt caster I get 77 bullets instead of 68. There is some difference but nothing to lose your sleep over if your tool doesn't allow for proper placement.

Just had a random person message me on psn that he found some of my discoveries. Had me a little giddy at first, then overcome by an urge to discover everything before someone else does. Don't care about the reviews, this game is awesome.

This is a good summary.

I had waited for quite some time to claim my ship so it appears I was in the clear. Basically try to avoid claiming your ship until after you get the warp drive blueprint. Or something.

Damn Eurogamer too haha. That's crazy, I'm glad I took the time to actually make a detailed write up of the bug. I didn't think it was gonna get any attention but now hopefully Hello will address it soon.

That being said, I'm close to just saying fuck it and restarting. I feel like it'll be a smoother starting experience now that I'm used to all the weirdness in this game.

I've never seen one yet.
Had managed to upgrade my exosuit once though
through an Atlas door

At the space stations, there should be two paths once you park. One to the left and one to the right.

The one to the left (relative to the direction you're facing when you exit the ship) is the one with the alien and Galactic Trading terminal. The one to the right should require an Atlas Pass v1 to open and should ALWAYS have a terminal to upgrade your exosuit.

This is how large my inventory is at the moment.

Struck gold. Found a planet with a space port next to lots of gold pillars. I can sell my stuff in the port (no flying to the space station, easy inventory management). And there are ships landing all the time so i can goldfarm a bit till i have enough funds to upgrade.
