After losing my antimatter when I purchased a new ship, I spent all day (hours and hours!) getting the recipe so I could make my own damn antimatter. I ended up raiding every Manufacturing Factory until I finally got what I needed to fly to the second galaxy. I'm glad I didn't have to restart the game but I'm probably really over-leveled now:

Words: 205
Distance: 123,615u
Earned: 1,853,756
Starship: 24 slots
Exosuit: 25 slots

Whatever. I'm finally ready to explore the universe!

So ppl was saying that animals dont interact with each other?
Well i just saw a velociraptor kinda dino with the trait (Stalker) chasing and killing a flying pig. The pig creature was trying to run away for some time, but the dino was faster and managed to do enought damage to kill him. After he killed him he just walked in circles around the dead creature untill i got close enought and then the chase was on me. :P

I have seen many creatures chase others, but in all the other times the stalkers was slower than the preys. This was the 1st time i actully saw the hunt to the end.

This safe to buy on PC? I have a 4gb AMD GPU

You can always get a refund if it doesn't work well. It works fine for me, except for very occasional stuttering. Has been worse for many others though. Might want to check your processor is supported as well, some older ones aren't as it stands.

how do you earn so much money???
Not sure how he/she did it, but some planets have objects with green diamonds hovering over them when you scan them. When you interact with them, they give you treasures that can be sold for 27,500 units each. Catch is it triggers Level 3 Sentinels. So what I did was I found a chain of them, then ran to my ship and took off until the threat went away.

I want to build a upgraded Hyperdrive where the best place to find Iridium?

also do you just have both hyperdrives installed or what?

You can and should have 4 hyperdrives installed.
The normal one, then the Sigma, Tau and Theta. They stack and let you travel longer distances.
Also you need the Sigma to visit solar sistems with a red star, Tau for green stars, and Theta for blue stars.

To find iridium try in space, some large round asteroids are usually of iridium. On planets is a bit more hard to find it.

Still haven't managed to find even the Atlas Pass V1. Yet I'm
already 3 atlas space station things in, found a crashed ship with a warp drive and can make huge multi-system jumps. I'm surprised I even had the milestone requirement for three already.

Interesting info about Star Systems:

https://www.reddit.com/r/NoMansSkyTheGame/comments/4xle85/psa_there_are_four_types_of_star_systems/
I never saw this explained in the tutorial, and it looks like not a lot of people even know about it, so I thought I'd explain it here.

Yellow Stars/Class G
These are the default star systems you can travel to from the start of the game. Mostly basic resources can be be found on the planets present within them, and a lot of the planets are barren.
Red Stars/Class K
You need a warp reactor sigma upgrade to travel to these stars. Planets will have slightly rarer resources on them, and more planets will be habited with fauna and flora.
Green Stars/Class E
You need warp reactor tau upgrade to have the ability to travel to these systems. They contain even rarer resources and even more planets will be tropical/lush.
Blue Stars/Class B
You need a warp reactor theta upgrade to travel to these systems. Planets will have a chance of having even the rarest resources on them, and a higher chance of being lush with plentiful plant and animal life.

In my experience, by default the waypoints to the center, Atlas interference, and black holes only traverse the yellow stars, so by following the path you will only be seeing the lower tier systems. I think it's a way to reward players for venturing off the beaten track, but I'm not certain.
Keep in mind, this is only information from my experience. But to me, it seems that the higher tier systems have a higher chance of having more lush planets with rarer resources.

It works well enough for me. i7 4770k, 16gb ram, but my nvidia GTX 760 2gb holds it back no doubt. Going to get a 1060 or something soon enough. Can't say I hate the 760 though, it's like that grand ole 5770 ATI with my Intel q6600 on my last comp. It's done me right (Nvidia 760).

Still though I can manage it, and I like it. Potential is there.
And unlike Cube World it's actually for sale. Ironically I check Wollays twitter and there's an update yesterday on it. Guess he feels that NMS cash infusion itch. C'mon Wollay, update that stuff.

Welp. After 40+ hours without a single crash, I've crashed 8 times in the last 2 hours.

All because of the things on walls that give you multi-tool blueprints.

These things:

0

Every time I interact with one, I crash.

I'm gonna stop touching them for now, but do you guys have any idea how I can fix this, or what the hell's going on?

I'm about to give up, but figured I'd check one more time. On the planet I'm on, I've found all the unique species and I've run around for at least an hour double checking that I haven't missed anything, but I'm still stuck at 87% completion. All the records are checked on the discovery page. I thought maybe I was missing a gender from a species, but I found another one and after scanning it I'm still at 87%.

Am I bugged or is there still an animal I'm missing somewhere?

I had a repeatable crash trying to access one of those blueprint dispensers, any other one was fine but just this certain one on one planet would always crash the game.

Man. i guess there is such a thing as abusing a good thing.

I have found a decent planet (well, ok during the day. -50c at night and very often with scorching 120c storms).
Thing is, it's littered with giant gold boulders, but even better, Poison ball plants which sell for 27k a pop.
So I start going back and forth with a Depot (found an amazing looking one. About 12 landing platforms, and the middle looks like a train station),. I would of course get attacked by flying sentinels and even the moutain lion type, but no biggie.

Made about 3m credits in 2h, ready to go get me a nicer ship, but I decide for 1 more trip.

Lo and behold, an ED209 of death descends on me, blasts me across the landscape taking my shields down to 0 and the hunt (mine) starts. I eventually barely make it by hiding in an abandonned outpost, with no shields and 1 HP bar left.

Got my blood pumping hehe.
Upgraded my Pre order 15 slpot ship to a 23 slots cross of a BSG Viper and a Tie Fighter :)

Are you scanning plants and rocks or just animals?

Some times, inside outpost, the small shacks have one of those things that also crashed my game. But everywhere else i can pick them up that the game dont crash.

Finally upgraded my ship from my first one. So now I have 20 slots. Right after I did that, this really cool ship lands. It was cheaper and had more slots (23)...

fuck you game

I think this is important to note. That it has temperature variation between the times of day. That's fairly rare in my experience. But I've seen it in game. Where it's cold at night and drains my thermal, and goes away when it hits morning. That's pretty cool. It's a small thing, but important all the same.

Man this is annoying, so I got the blueprints for the upgraded jetpack (the sigma one) and now the game keeps spamming in the bottom right ACQUIRE ONE CARBIDE SHEET TO CRAFT SIGMA JETPACK.

Well I did...ages ago, and it still tells me every 15 seconds, there doesn't appear to be an option to disable that notification either.

Also does the fact that you can't skip the milestone thing annoy anyone else? It last's for so long that it got me killed once during a space battle because I couldn't open the menu to recharge my shield.

What really? The atlas pass is without a doubt the most useful thing I've gotten thus far, every space station has so much more stuff for making warp cells and it was a major source of upgrading my exo suit's capacity. The game really didn't' start for me until after I got one, I felt so constrained beforehand.

Pin another recipe , clear that recipe and it should disapear.

I have 100% of species scanned on my starting planet, how do I get the massive Unit reward?

Go to the menu where you rename stuff and where the animals are listed there's a button saying what percent you have. By the way you can farm twice as much cash just from finding a planet with gravatino balls etc in under 5 mins easily.

I'm on a planet with those things right now. And they're all in caves, so the sentinels get alerted, but they can't get me because I'm underground. I got away with 14 of these things in one shot. Now I just need to find that cave again.

lol finally got a new ship.
24 slot, 1.7 mil. had to do it.

Is it me or is the Atlas Path taking me further from the Center? The numbers seem to show that.

Let your cursor on the 100% in the discoery option to upload that 100% discovery and get the rewrd in the process.

The temperature varies everytime , not just during the day and night .. You can take shelter from the cold and the acid rain by going underground for example . Most planet have varation in hazards based on your location. That's why the plasma grenade tool is the most usefull thing in the game. you can shape the terrain to avoid hazardous situations. a real gamechanger

I saw the button but it didn't seem like I could press it.

Maybe go to another planet and come back after a while. If not, try scanning the plants too (although they haven't counted for me) and make sure you have at least 5 landing points in your records for the planet.

Something is definitely bugged with that tracker. In my first system I ran into a planet that once I hit 100%, it didn't allow me to upload, and then it also caused a different planet in that system to show 100% completion (even though I only had about half the species checked off) and I don't have the upload option there now either.

I just moved on and don't think I've seen weirdness with it since, but there seems to be some issue I think caused by your completion status on other planets within that star system.

I don't know how accurate this is. What do they mean by "rarer" resources? I went to a blue star system and nothing seemed all that different.

AFAIK you can't find anything higher than uncommon elements naturally. Now if you get a lot closer to the center maybe that changes, but after like 30 warps nothing has really changed.

I've already started finding some Callium planetside in my third star system. Still around ~170,000 LY from center I think.

I've found a few planets with rare? (Purple) elements, lying about. Typically they take a while to mine and don't wield much. Radox was one, I think.

Hmm beam intensifier upgrade on my multitool says "destroys terrain more quickly". Does that mean it doesn't actually effect mineral gathering? Even then it still can't actually destroy regular terrain, so I'm confused.

edit; Ah I think I got it. Intensifier speeds up the mining of minerals that come in giant chucks that are usually attached to terrain (and are generally rarer), focus speeds up the more common stuff like crystals and plants.

Ohhh that's why they were attacking me. I ended up flying off planet to sell the ones I found at a nearby space station. Funny enough, I then got attacked by a small crew of three ships that almost killed me when I left the station.

How open is "space" in this game? The reason I ask is because I read a comment on YouTube that said you can only travel towards the planets in the system you're in (usually 3 or 4), trying to fly anywhere else and you'll bump up against an invisible wall. Is it true? I was under the impression it would be more like elite dangerous :(

I have come across a planet of nightmares. Bad acid induced nightmares. I've only landed at one post and I'm ready to NOPE out.

Immediately upon landing, I see these things bouncing and squishing around.

It's like the movie The Fly except replace it with a pineapple, pumpkin and a giant tarantula. There's so many name possibilities I can't decide what to call this species. At least it knows how to strike a pose.

So after I finish taking screenshots of that 'thing', I start walking back and see this demonic tentacle plant.
KNnb9qU.jpg

I'm now at full "What in the fuck?!". Not sure if I should approach it in case it's hostile or that ball thing will explode on me or something insane. I checked the preview of the plant while paused and it didn't have a ball under it so I'm assuming procedurally generated. I then continue walking towards the place to check out and look back at it and...

I got Myspace angled! They're going to be named Demonic Testicle Tentacles.

At this point I don't know what to expect anymore except nightmares. Go over and save real quick and turn around and see this little blob running around. It's awful at doing anything after feeding it but at least it being derpy brought a hint of sanity in a literal world of nightmares and more to be found.

Huh. Interesting. Are they just purple looking shards (like plutonium)?

No. They're like weird spherical rocks, that start rolling around when you start mining them with your laser.

One planet was those, another were floating jellyfish looking things, I first thought were creatures and tried to scan. The latest were round golden balls stacked onto of one another sort of haphazardly. 3 or 4 tall.

Haven't had a problem like this yet. I think Sean even mentioned in an interview that you could feasibly fly to a different star system without the need for a warp drive but it would take weeks/months.

I've maxed out (48) my exosuit inventory slots and have a 32 slot ship. I still have no idea wtf I'm doing half the time. I guess I'm supposed to be trying to find recipes for a better warp drive so I can go farther? I wish there was a little more direction in the game to make me feel like I wasn't just doing the same 5 boring things for hours and hours on end.
