Sounds like a good time to (finally) buy the game!
I feel the same. I'm glad that they were able to bounce back like this. I guess Shaun learned his lesson about talking a little too much without actually delivering.

So what's the fuel for the vehicle? Same with the building cost for it?
With so many good games out and releasing in the upcoming weeks, I have zero interest in wasting more than the 2 hours I already put on this one, sry but you got my money on release date, I won't waste anything else on it.
This is where I fear Hello might eventually lose my interest. There's a faction of players that want it to be Minecraft, with the intricate base building, crafting, etc. Both updates have really added to this play style. Then there's people like me who want NMS to feel more like a living universe, with more combat options, dynamic missions, political alliances, better combat, NPCs that you can become attached to, etc.
Right now it feels like Hello is definitely catering to the first group, and I'm a bit worried that the Minecraft people are so vocal that the kinds of things I want and expected at launch will never be addressed. Hopefully they can do both.
Yes, free updates are bad. Boo those developers.
The buggy looks like a lot of fun
1) Um, there are planets with no atmosphere. Just hunks of rocks in space, devoid of life. I was on a couple in Foundation. The ratio isn't what they said it would be though; dead planets are kinda rare from what I've seen. Your last sentence makes me think you didn't play the Foundation update, because there are several resources you can only get in specific biomes now.
2) I agree about this. Space activities have not gotten much love...I hope this is temporary.
Looks like plutonium.
Well, Sean did work on the Burnout series after all.
So this is currently 60% off on the European and Australian PSN store right now, so $21.95 AUD (~$16.50 USD).
It's still $59.99 USD on Steam or US PSN Store.
Consids:
Should I leap into the PS4 version, or hold out for next PC price drop?
- I have a PS4 Pro and Samsung KS8000 so I'm good for 4K HDR, but also should be able to run 1440p or maybe even 4K/60 on my PC (no HDR obv).
- I love my HOTAS on PC and use Voice Attack with Elite Dangerous, but not sure if HOTAS is such a big deal for NMS?
- Have Oculus Rift and PSVR, and whilst no VR in NMS yet, I'd be ready either way if it's added down the line.
- Would mod if it adds substantially, but modding and crazy base building not my primary focus. More interested in exploration.
What to do GAF??
So the buggy works underwater...
Yeah, but man is it painful getting anywhere underwater with that. The second one you get is muuuch better for traveling on land or sea.
Don't understand people who say "too late". It's always valueable and worthy to at least try and undo the mistakes. I might buy the game because of things like this.
It has Steam Workshop support and there's already mods for it. I'd go PC if you can.
Let's say for arguments sake I don't care about mods, any other sig advantages of PC version over PS4 Pro optimised version?
