It's rare to see a manly-looking protagonist for JRPG nowadays.

I completely disagree, in fact I would even argue that manly looking JRPG protagonists are becoming more common in recent times and we are finally getting away from teenager protagonists in favor of middle aged men.

Here's some examples from recent JRPGs literally all from the 2020s:

See, Asians find pretty boys attractive, especially the female audience. And they PAY money for that.

Male character of intergalactic doesn't have an audience. That is all there is to it.

It all comes down to people's tastes, the author sees characters the way he wants them to be and he embodies them the way he wants to see them. There are no trends, conspiracies, etc. Here, it just so happens that most people have tastes for characters without a lot of muscle mass, plus the concept of femininity in Japanese anime drawing is very relative, a person who watches a lot of anime and plays Japanese games on a regular basis will never confuse a male character with a female one, only in the case when the author really decided to troll the player and made the male character as feminine as possible from the principle. Well, like, for example, Momo from Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes:

And yes, this is a boy - "The cutest boy in all the lands", and his appearance is specially made like this, this is played out in the game and the joke is built on this =)

Well, the sales statistics here completely disagree with you. "Nier Gestalt sold over 12,500 copies in Japan the week of its release, while Replicant sold over 60,000 and was the top-selling video game in Japan that week."
In the end, both games sold 700,000 copies, with a large margin in favor of Nier Replicant, which is why the remaster was actually made based on this version of the game.

You cant date anyone normal in todays world sadly.
Todays women are the most useless ever.
They cant cook, they cant clean, they lack any maternal instinct, they lack showing any affection or love or support.
Todays women are all about image and materialism.
They are not faithfull they are full of themself , demand the world with little to nothing to give in return.
Todays women jumping from dick to dick from guy to guy. Once they are done with you they leave you hanging and alone.

The set up is, they show their fake side , they lure you in, they give the illusion you mean anything to them, but once they demasculinized you, dehumanized you, turned you into an emotional wreck cuz they will never tell you you do well or you are loved or anything, once they took everything from you, they hit you with the usual you are shit you suck bla bla bla and then they move on.

Man i cant even tell you how many men i know whos wife left them INCLUDING THE KIDS and moved on to another relationship.

Men fault is they are giving everything up for a woman.
Men have low standards as they are iver commiting and are willing to stick it out with the worst ones.
Men have to start having self esteem, and pride, and most of men should think highly of themselves and not cave in to this fake idea that todays women are looking for a real true meaningful relationship.

In short, a 5 out 10 woman thinks she is a 9 where as a 8 out of 10 guy thinks he is a 4.

I was kinda surprised when I learned that the main char from Metaphor is actually male. Put me off the game
