I randomly decided to watch Austin vs Bret Hart at WM13 again yesterday for shits and giggles.

Holy fuck, I've actually forgotten how great this match was. Austin's selling for Hart's offense is pretty impressive. Austin is in complete "TMF" mode. Hart's technical style versus Austin's brawling works to an impressive level. The whole match felt like a legit fight. Crowd was red hot.

We never get anything close to this quality anymore
 
Well, Raw was a bore to watch.

I liked the whole "Authority gets rid of Cena's guys one by one" thing but the people involved (except for Ziggler) I just couldn't care less about.

And then that whole Cena promo. Bah.

It could be good with better talent but I just can't care about Cena and friends.
 
So who was the first face to bury his opponents in promos?

I was gonna say Rock but really it was probably Shawn Micheals. Am I wrong?

Some of that might have happened as heels and then transitioned into faces.

Cena is king though. HHH probably even resents him for it.

They've done that exact Cena promo before I think, can't remember when, but I'm fairly certain they have.

And I agree with your point on the booking. It's great and exactly how I would do this kind of angle. But could they seriously book it with people I care less about? Give me Cesaro, give me Bray and Ambrose, give me....fuck...I'm running out of names.

I'm more interested in the outcome of the Survivor Series match than the angle. If it wasn't FREE, I wouldn't pay $9.99 to see this shit.
 
Anyone remember when Sunday Night Heat would be live for the night of a PPV and it would be red hot going in. I've legit ordered a dozen PPV's because of Sunday Night Heat. I don't think a youtube preshow has ever motivated me to order a PPV.

With that said, since SS is free, is the WWE paying me to watch the preshow?
 
Guys, I have a ton of old Ring of Honor DVDs I might be interested in getting rid of. I think most of them are from '06 - '08 but some might be later. Would anyone be interested in a few if I posted pictures? Alucard?

I don't want to dump them, but might end up doing so.

At this point I don't think I can distinguish Cena's "I have passion for this business" promos from each other. He does the same kind of jokes every time too.

But I like how the bad guys have some nuances and how HHH is evil but at the same time has real concerns. It's actually really well booked. It could make for an interesting story with other guys.

Also, what the fuck was that thing with the Bunny and Adam Rose?
 
Not that long ago team Cena could have had Punk, Bryan, Orton and Roman Reigns. Yeah I know you guys hate him but that would have been a pretty boss team.

Based WWE. I don't know if it's McMahon or someone else, but it's the classic "That guy is in a bunny suit, he's a bunny, not a human, make him act like a bunny!" and then have Cole remind everyone that it's a man in the Bunny suit on live TV.
 
I thought the Bunny was about to German suplex Rose so you can get the "oh look the Bunny can actually wrestle, that's funny" gag. Instead it was less German suplex and more Turkish prison.
 
Bunny is one of the stronger heels on the roster, needlessly distracting Rose or interfering during his matches then trying to violate the man afterwards, he has no remorse judging by his motions on the ramp.
Yet I get the impression we're supposed to be on the Bunny's side here.
