Will be my 8th straight Mania but for the first time I won't have to buy any tickets on the onsale date. Locked in a travel package the minute they went on sale for one of the ringside seats in the first four rows. Supposedly the seats are issued based on when you place your order and I had my order in within a minute. Considering they're still available, I'm feeling pretty good about my chances for a front row seat. Won't know until late February/early March though.
I used to be able to pull tickets in the first 5 rows in prior years, either the day of the public onsale or in February when additional sections would get released but it never happened for WM 28. I found out why when I got to the building that day. They had HUGE palm trees setup and it eliminated a TON of the ringside seats that usually would be available. That's why I had to go the travel package route for WM 29.
Looking at the seat map for this year, it looks like they're planning another massive thing to hang over the ring. It's even larger than usual because there would usually be tickets on sale in the open space there next to sections 7, 8, and 10.
A funny little moment just happened at the press conference for New Japan's next PPV concerning Low Ki Vs Devitt for the the IWGP Jr Title.
"Kota Ibushi just showed up, pen in hand, ready to sign to face Low Ki. Devitt walks in all confused, taps him on the shoulder and tells him to get lost. Ibushi is escorted out while the officials looked confused. Great stuff."
Cena even managed to ruin this. An untelevised segment after the show in a place where Cena has been getting nothing but boos, he still needs to blindside a (heel) wrestler and make everyone in the ring look worse for it. The whole of last night was an exercise in terrible booking so I can't say I'm all that surprised.
I do however think Cesaro and Sin cara worked quite well in the ring together. Cesaro's ability to work with small guys might actually manage to make Sin Cara look decent if they feud once the tag team division breaks down again.
^^ Seriously, I watched it and I was happy for Barrett having a moment then f**king Cena outta no where comes and adds nothing but awkwardness and HEY GUYS IM HERE ALONG WITH THIS GUY YOU LIKE SO YOU LIKE ME TOO?
:|
He didn't even bloody let Barrett take Ziggler out (surely that was the plan?) he's like don't worry bro I got this, gotta send the crowd home happy with me doin mah move, right crowd? *boooooooooooooooooooooo*
Barrett is sorta just like, uh... ok.
Not even on TV and they're still forcing this shit.
Not doing Universe mode - I have a very clear vision on where I want this to head. I'm basically scheduling it out just for this month, and next month if I'm burned out, I can slow down a bit. But I definitely have a clear vision and I am long-term booking.
A behind-the-scenes tidbit:
I initially made the SoulPlaya/Frog alliance before a single KOTR match was even held. I didn't expect both of them to make it to the finals, much less one of them winning - so I had to do a lot of editing on the fly to put Laser as the champion in the cinematics and have the team-up not seem contrived. Somehow the CPU managed to tell a better story than I could! Excellent conclusion.

Also, if you ever do a 3+ person match, I think you should make the momentum speed quick. I remember G-Fex did a triple threat match and it took forever since the CPU would never go for a pin when it was appropriate so it made the match MUCH longer than it should have. Then again, that was WWE '12. I haven't seen how the CPU works in any of those matches yet.

That's genius. You thought up the SoulFrog alliance beforehand, and me and Laser agreed on it during the actual show, lol. I was wondering for a second how you came up with the Soul/Laser backstage segment so quickly, but this explains it. Great stuff, man.

No...the beauty of it is, when the month is up and I'm burned out as head of creative, I can put all our dudes online so you can run shows with the same cast if you want!
