Pro Wrestling Sheet reported today that Bill Goldberg agreed to a deal this week to appear in more shows, which explains the finish of tonight's match with Brock Lesnar.

The story noted that Goldberg will be at the Royal Rumble at the Alamodome. The original deal was for only this one match, but Goldberg got over so well, as expected, that both sides made the decision to keep him going.

It would be expected that Goldberg and Brock Lesnar would meet at the Rumble, although that has not been confirmed at this point.

Goldberg beat Lesnar clean in the middle in moments with two spears and a jackhammer in the main event of Sunday night's Survivor Series PPV from Toronto, ONT, Canada.

There was a late odds swing in favor of Goldberg just before the show started which turned out to be smart money from people who knew the finish.

It's weird, I really loved Sting vs Triple H and it entertained the hell out of me. But I didn't give me that 'kid again' feeling.

But Goldberg having indie security geeks escort him out and Goldberg mostly looking like he used to and the Gooooooooldberg chants totally did. And I always liked Sting more than Goldberg as a kid.

LOL Meltzer defends the finish by saying that he hopes it means a lot of Goldberg dates... otherwise it's giving too much to a guy whose not sticking around.

Goldberg is not doing a ton of dates... it's gonna be Rumble and Mania if that... you don't go from one off to a ton of dates...


To defend this on the caveat of if he does a ton of dates just kinda exposes Meltz as not knowing fucking much imo.

Goldberg should appear for a little celebration on RAW and then disappear until being an unannounced participant in the Rumble.
Have him put over the eventual winner.
Then Lesnar rematch at Mania.

Goldberg was the shit part of WCW though. This should have went to Sting. He should have came out to his WCW music and squashed HHH.

LAW guys need to stop comparing this to actual MMA... The whole it could be over just like that is an accepted part of MMA because you know it's not a scripted show.

I mean they sacrificed 30 min of PPV time to make this a shock...That time could have helped the women's match and even the tag match which was only saved because the final 2 teams tore the house down.

Goldberg still looks like Goldberg, plus he retired before years of worn out working shit shows. He still has that shine. Dude still looks fantastic, big props to him.

Unless I misheard, Meltzer pretty much flatly said a rematch is part of the extended deal with Goldberg. And that Brock was part of putting it together and a proponent of the squash.

Cool. I'll keep my hopes at a minimum but cool if it works out... That said this match had near perfect build and that's mostly why I hated the match well that and it took 30 mins out of the PPV in the name of surprise that could have been put to good use.

They should do a Rumble match that Lesnar wins in a return the favour squash, Goldberg goes for a spear right at the start again just like tonight only Lesnar catches him in the Kimura Lock, Lesnar can tap or pass out whatever....

And then they a best 2 out of 3 falls match at Mania that Brock sweeps so he can be 3-2 lol...

Legit though if they did a return squash I'd retroactively be cool with the finish tonight.
