Remember when Brock squashed Cena and that ruined Cena? Oh wait, Cena went on to have his best run after that.

I won't say anything else on this topic, as I don't want to sound like a broken record (at least not more than I already do haha), but I'll say this, regardless of how I feel about the match, Goldberg looks GREAT. He's in better shape than pretty much everyone else in the roster and that Jackhammer was beautiful.

Oh the hope we had.
...... How they fucked up the entire nexus storyline, I'll never know. They should've won at SS, then Wade should've won the title.

Looks like Goldberg will be at the Royal Rumble match.

I predicting Lesnar interferes Goldberg's rumble match then a 3rd and final match at WM.

What I've really enjoyed about Goldberg being back have been his promos. He just gets it and he completely won over crowds week after week that many in the audience were not familiar with his work.

The public speaking circuit really helped him a lot and he should really consider getting a Brock contract so he can pop in from time to time for matches as the roster could really learn a lot from him about intensity, non verbal communication and making promos feel real and not canned.

He has also aged magnificently. Body looks good, face has aged well, and the grey facial hair just makes him look like an old grizzled bad ass.

Still looks looks incredible in gear. Gives more believable promos than the entire roster. Turns into Santa Claus around children. Proved to be a great human being in his time away from wrasslin.
Yeah he deserves this. He's a legitimately great human being.
Edit: I just realized I used your exact phrasing. Whatever.
Second edit: Yeah AJ has had an amazing run. He's among the most dominant heels under 7 feet tall they've had and certainly the most dominant under 6 feet. The fact that they had to temporarily reform the Shield just to beat him says a lot.

Yeah, Goldberg physically looks in fantastic shape - way better than Sting or Taker, for comparison. And Goldberg's promos for this are probably the best promos he's ever given

Goldberg should be the template for baby faces, especially the bigger guys. In the ring is all business in terms of promos, aggression, mindset, etc but out of the ring goes out of his way to acknowledge fans, especially children.

This is what they did with Hogan, Savage, Bret Hart etc

Guys like Stone Cold and the Rock are exceptions and not the ideal way to build a baby face. That being said Roman desperately needs a Rock moment where he turns and evicerates the crowd and then comes to the show in a suit with hair slicked back every week, drop the swat gear and act like a silver spoon heel who knows he is the future.

That's what the fans want to see and I think it will help him just as it did the Rock.

AJ Styles should be on Raw with Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho on Smackdown.

Send The Club to Smackdown to and keep them separate.

Survivor Series just furthered the belief that Roman needs a heel turn in the worst way, a la Rock. The only pop he was even remotely associated with last night was the Shield triple powerbomb. They should start hardcore teasing a Shield reunion, only for Roman to betray both of them and go "fuck you guys"

Please, please, please have Emmalina debut tonight and don't give us another premiering soon segment. And please make it a decent gimmick after all.
Lol you should probably stop being hopeful about her new gimmick. Looks insanely awful. Although looking at Emma being hot might be ok.

Would the crowd BOO Roman though if the company wanted him to be BOO'd?

That is the question.

The company doesn't want Roman boo'd though, they want him cheered. Turning him heel might ultimately get them what they want

I know, but my question is, if they turned him heel, and the crowd was supposed to boo him, would they?

Or would they go silent to Roman's heel turn, or even cheer him as he heels it up?

I say keep Roman's looks and tough guy persona. Just make him go "Screw it, there's no winning any of you over. I'm doing this for myself" and go around being a mostly silent menace attacking anyone who looks at him the wrong way.

His type of charisma doesn't match with a cocky "I'm the best", his charisma matches with a cocky "I'm untouchable and don't need anyone".

Depends how he acts as a heel. Ideally, heel Roman is a guy who's character doesn't change much at all. The only difference is that the authority figures are open about the fact that Roman keeps getting title shot after title shot because they want him as a marketing figure.

They already have him not talking much and just being aggressive. It's not working.

He needs a proper full heel turn.

For that to work, you'd have to have a babyface who the fans love equally to combat the hate Roman would get with the authority accepting him and shoving him down the fans throats.

They haven't really had that since Daniel Bryan.

Besides that, he needs to stay on the mid card for some time.
1 year (or more) doing good matches with the US title maybe would make people start to like him

But looks like he is fighting for the Universal title in december...WWE never learns

Jericho and Edge covered it in a podcast, basically Cena nixed the whole push and plenty of other wrestlers disagreed with Cena doing it too.

If Roman started selling like the Undertaker did instead of getting almost no offense in, playing dead and then pulling out the win it would make him infinitely more likable, along with an asshole persona.

He just needs to dominate the entire match instead of overcoming the odds in the final minute, stop with the catch phrases for a while and be aggressive in a heel way, attacking people back stage, before they get in the ring or straight up trying to injure his opponents.

Basically, make him more intense and stop being "honorable". There's not a lot wrong with with current Roman other than his motivation and "controlled" temper, imo. Those simple tweeks would be a proper heel turn.

Their most over faces, ironically, are heels. There's a case to be made that KO, Jericho, and Styles are probably the most over full-timers in the company right now.

Trust me, I reference that podcast so much. Then the idiot comes back later and says, yeah maybe you guys were right. They should've went over.

Roman frigging speared shane's throat/chin last night, that was horrific.

Hope shaneo is ok
Hit him way too high for sure. But Shane was also in air flying across the ring. A dangerous spot with an insanely small margin of error. Immediately when it happenend and it looked like Shane got murdered I said out loud "Why the fuck would they even try that?"

That's an understatement. There is no top babyface for KO beyond Seth Rollins, and no top babyface for AJ Styles beyond Dean Ambrose.

Raw could have really used Finn Balor though, he was that top babyface they're missing and that first night on Raw was hot fire. Damn shame.
