Y'all ain't getting a unification match, dash ye hopes.

Aiii

So not worth it
I actually liked that bit last night, where he acknowledges hes supposed to be the bad guy and is supposed to act like one for the crowd because thats what heels should do but then ends up not giving a fuck. It's pretty heelish in its own way and Miz gets away it with it way more than Del Rio because he's a smarmy fuck and Del Rio is just boring (outside of his matches)

If they run with that with Miz it could work pretty well. I love him offering handshakes after matches with Kofi and then getting offended when he doesn't shake his hand. The fact the commentators actually had to explain on Raw last night that Kofi was the face and Miz was the heel after Kofi slapped him for not shaking his hand was pretty great.

The fact that his sort-of-not-bad sport reference joke was absolutely ruined by doing that is what ruined it. That was terrible.

As for the rest, Bo Dallas does that gimmick miles and miles better.

Stone Cold and DAniel bryan on the Steve Austin show

. listing to review-a-raw can we talk about the little things for a second.

Daniel Bryan is kidnapped by the wyatts and Brie's fist reaction is to get an autograph from Micheal strahan.

WTF creative. they went to great lengths to establish their relationship ons screen just to ignore it.

Whenever they show a close up of his face you can still see the permanent mark above his eyebrow where he got clocked. Brings me joy every time.

Dude, Punkverse. WE ARE BACK IN IT!

Punk never actually left, Daniel Bryan has been in it the whole time. PLOTWISTSWERVE

Just watched this clip of Xavier Woods from RAW last night that perfectly highlights one of my biggest gripes with the current product;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBefuMWWMO8

What does the commentary team do when he hits his finisher? Absolutely nothing. No reaction, no calling the move, just silence. Whatever happened to commentators with a bit of energy and excitement?

Get rid of JBL, Cole & King and replace them with JR, Regal & Renee.
The camera/director didn't do a very good job of showing it, either, though.

Going through this Raw stuff, I think...I think I agree that creative is fucking bonkers. Missed opportunities everywhere, foolish behavior...they need a continuity editor. Bigtime.

New japan is foing flashback videos for wrestleKingdom

Naito vs Okada.

Raw Okada is something to see. had that sweet dropkick even as a young lion. Crazy to see where he is now.

Tanahashi vs nakamura

2005 iwgp title match. Great match over all , with a hype ending, getting me hyped for WK 8. Glad to see shinsuke evolve from his faux mma thing.

I really like the way they highlight one specific thing for a young lion which, for Okada, was obviously his awesome dropkick. I watched one of his early matches a month or so ago, which was mostly him getting murdered by Otani, but there were flashes of the Rainmaker there - here's pretty much the whole match condensed into gif form, lol;

So...which wrasslin' intro song (for the show itself) was the best? Most people will go for that Thorn in your Eye intro, but I think there's better ones that get you hyped for a wrasslin show.

I don't think Stro feels this way anymore, but I always loved Nitro's theme:

I love the OG Nitro theme. The one in the Space Ship era was so awful and generic. Not that the first one wasn't, but it was a better kind of generic for WCW. My favorite is still the original Monday Night Raw theme.

You know, The Miz flip-flopping the Heel/Face thing actually reminds me of Del Rio.

Remember, he turned face the week before Christmas and then ran over Santa the next week, turning back heel for the night. It was as confusing then as it is now though.
Thought the Tribute to the Troops show was taped from weeks before and either way, that show is never canon anyways. It was silly for WWE to show it because it made absolutely no sense for Del Rio who was supposedly doing babyface work the week prior on live TV. The entire point, I guess, was to show Cener winning at the end and celebrating with the troops.

I think Tribute to the Troops shouldn't be a televised show. It should be just for the troops live and on their network. It feels very disingenuous when they do it and promote how great they are for doing it instead of all the charity work they actually do without mentioning it online or on TV.

You love carnival music. With the exception of that godawful Smoky Mountain one that is actually really great in how bad it is.

An unsung favorite theme of mine was Saturn's later theme, a Jimmy Hart version of Judas Priest's "You've Got Another Thing Coming"
