Nothing is solid, everything is permitted.
So basically NPD threads are this:
I did want to put up a picture of 'Arse Face' from the movie, but he might be NSFW

Um yes, I've seen it numerous times at Gamestop, Bestbuy, etc., as well as Xbox One. Amazon actually just held their own PS4 trade-in deal I believe last month or so.
Sony partnered with Amazon for a trade-in deal in the month of April.

The threads about trade-in consoles for PS4 were very rare. I think there was 3 or 4 threads only (last year).
Just as common as Xbox One, so it did not win NPD because of it... I've seen the promo offered several times - the number irrelevant for the point.

9.5/10 Not bad
Amazon console business size is nowhere near Gamestop and Best Buy.
Where are you getting this from? Amazon is one of the largest video game retailers period. Slickdeals is the number one deal website in the U.S. Its thread 97 pages long, very long for a trade-in deal compared to others.

And with this post, I conclude that you don't use facts in your discussions. Amazon contributes only 5%-6%.Where are you getting this from? Amazon is one of the largest video game retailers period.
Amazon covers only 5% of the NPD.

It was #4 in individual SKU ranking.
Ok wrong on that, again, that was not the discussion though. The discussion is your claim MS won April NPD because of a trade-in promo at Gamestop. That is illogical because similar promos have been common over the last 12 months. This is not the first trade-in deal for Xbox One. Sony had one too right before at Gamestop.
Regardless, it makes no sense and its pretty foolish to say MS won because of a trade-in promo when both Sony and MS have done it numerous times over the last 12 months. This month is not any different.
What the hell does that have to do with the XB1 only promotions available during April? Why would the existence of similar deals prior to April make any difference to impact XB1 specific deals would have on sales in April? You are making zero sense. Please stop.
This can be a dangerous year for the PS4. Sony's games lineup is atrocious this year while Xbox One has a lot more attractive titles.

The same Xbox One and PS4 trade-in deal has happened numerous times in the last 12 months. Why does it all of a sudden make a difference this April? lol.
Furthermore, since this deal has happened times before, the number of 360/PS3 users who traded up to a PS4 is getting less and less every month, and by this April, that number is less with many people who have already upgraded to a PS4/XBO through promotions in the past.
Yet it is laughable when Xbox One wins a NPD, it is because of trade-in deals.
Lmao.

These deals make a difference every single time, they increase console sales.
Smh, there's still millions of people who didn't upgrade from PS360 and they're waiting for the right time to upgrade.
Yes, these deals were one of the reasons why XB1 sold 187K this month. You seriously think XB1 number will be the same if it wasn't for these trade-in deals?
I dont know if you are being purposely obtuse or what but you need to stop dismissing perfectly logical cases for what is basically sales anomaly in April NPD. Either propose and defend a hypothesis of your own or stop posting. You have no authority to tell everyone else what is or is not feasible in the absence of concrete evidence to the contrary.
Yes, I do not think they make much of an impact as you're making it seem - definitely not enough to win a NPD lmao.
People buy the console they want, not because of a promotion deal. If a person wants a PS4, they are not going to trade in their PS3 because for a Xbox One because of this deal. People could have all likelihood already used the trade-in deal on the console they want, or wait until the next one comes up for you guessed it, for the console they want.
You said this before and its pretty rude. Contact a mod if you feel the need to instead of being inappropriate by telling others to stop posting.

Wait. What is this bullshit?
Xbox 360 April 2007 (Second April) 174k
PS4 April 2015 (Second April) 174k
PS3 April 2008 (Second April) 187k
Xbox One April 2015 (Second April) 187k
.
7-13k
You know what's rude? Implying people proposing perfectly reasonable explanations for a puzzling sales result are being disingenuous fanboys. That's rude. Also I said
How did you miss the entire first half of that sentence? My point stands you're doing nothing but refuting other people's posts with absolute certainty despite having 0 supporting evidence to do so. You are not contributing theories of your own to explain the unexpected results you're just shitting on other people's. Either contribute a valid competing theory of your own to explain the results or quit posting. Either way you need to stop tearing down other people's hypothesis and painting them as being unreasonable without any supporting evidence to disprove them.
When the difference is 13K, then yes these deals makes you win or lose an NPD.
You're kidding yourself if you think all people buy the console they want no matter the price. Many people just want a next-gen console, these deals and promotions are the biggest reason why they choose one console over the other.
This can be a dangerous year for the PS4. Sony's games lineup is atrocious this year while Xbox One has a lot more attractive titles.
Something like this cannot be so easily explained. The PS4 has also had trade-in deals pretty commonly over the last 12 months actually, and Xbox. This is not the first month of a Xbox One trade-in promotion..
I'm amazed Bloodborne isn't on the top ten.
I'm also amazed Xbone is best selling console.
So you don't want to post your own theory what happened this month as others suggested, but keep on shooting down possible theory of other gaffers but here you are so quick to suggest that it will be a terrible year for PS4 because of this months results? You're on a roll...
Wow the comments in this thread. Absolutely crazy stuff.
Congratulating Microsoft for selling 10k more than Sony. Sony should be ashamed?
Sony are fucked, their exclusive lineup is dire?
Am i doing this right?
It's an impact but not enough to win entire monthly NPD's. With Walmart, Bestbuy, Amazon, etc., I highly doubt not even a majority of purchasers (over 50%) used that promotion that was only by one retailer.
So this results are interesting in terms of US while WW it changes absolutely nothing.
