If Road is still here, maybe he can tell us where he derived that first number.So we just need the PS4/PS3 breakout. It's apparently either 1234/420 or 1138/387, if the math is right.

But it doesn't make sense
220K
DR3
How is that any different o him typing
Dead Rising 3 sold around about 220K?
80% drop, it's 450k total this month
....and didn't it not break 2 million first month anyway? so it's more like 75%
I think the extra numbers are just to give a better idea of what some of the games sold. Gives a tighter upper or lower bound.
.
Why would you even compare the first two with the last two? Zelda and Mario are going to sell just fine. Hell, Zelda is already at +400k.
Lowest attach rate for any 3D Mario ever.
Zelda is my GOTY and there are 10 million 3DSs in the US.
400K seems underwhelming.
If Road is still here, maybe he can tell us where he derived that first number.
Can you put Tearaway on this chart please?
MS had the worst selling version of every multiplat between the 4 hd cousins.
Better hope that their exclusives did better.
goodnight wii u.
the youtube video is frggin hillarious.
Only thing thats sad is the top 10. Every year it's the same shit
So going with 1.114 we have:
PS4 1.114m
XBone 909k
3DS 770k
360 647k
PS3 405k
WiiU 232k
Wii 67k
Can you put Tearaway on this chart please?
Is there a reason creamsugar won't just...you know, flat out give the figures?
If Road is still here, maybe he can tell us where he derived that first number.
As I said, knowing PS3 is 12% of PS3+WIU+XBO+PS4+360 still leaves a high margin of error. Example.
Assume PS3 is 420k.
420k/0.123 = 3.41 million
420k/0.12 = 3.5 million
420k/0.116 = 3.62 million
Dozens of thousands of difference.
It's already there.
rip in peace wii u. 2012-2013. you have brought much joy (and some pain) but you will be missed

So we just need the PS4/PS3 breakout. It's apparently either 1234/420 or 1138/407, if the math is right.
Pokemon LTD ~ 2.45M
You're forgetting Wii. PS3 is 12% of PS3+WIU+XB1+PS4+360+WII
I thought that was a dead pixel. *phew*
Oh, I was more wondering how you arrived at 1234K for PS4? Was that just a stab in the dark?As I said, knowing PS3 is 12% of PS3+WIU+XBO+PS4+360+WII still leaves a high margin of error. Example.

COD is always big title, at least big as 6m.
Oh, and Wii U is > Vita now.
I hinted PS4 at somewhere else several hours ago, and somebody in this thread already seen it.

You're right, Sorry.
But that doesn't change what I'm saying anyway.
People looking for a creamsugar recap should just look at his post history.
Still catching up to the thread, but having Taps in the background is just too good.
Okay, bear with me guys, this is the first NPD thread I've actively followed in a long time.
Are the 3DS numbers really that bad? It's only tracking a couple mil behind the original DS at the moment, unless I was incorrectly reading that handheld sales chart that was posted a couple pages ago. Considering how drastically the handheld market has changed with smartphones, that at least appears on surface level to be a solid accomplishment. Not to mention that individual game sales for the system's heavy hitters have been healthy. 405 K for a handheld Zelda in only 8 days is pretty damn good given the current market (and I'm responsible for two of those purchases, huzzah!)
I completely understand all of the logistics as to why the Wii U numbers are shockingly awful, but 3DS not so much. Not to mention that the system is still attracting some high-caliber support from third parties. The system seems to be in very good shape overall to me, but I'm very curious as to why so many of you think otherwise.
As much as the Wii U numbers are giving me a sadness in my bones tonight, I feel almost as bad for Tearaway. I've never so much as touched a Vita, but Tearaway looks like a magical cartridge of creativity and unadulterated bliss.
Gaming is in a very sad state for me Nothing on the top ten is in line with my personal preferences. I'm morbidly fascinated to see what the landscape will look like in half a decade, but I'm also very afraid.
it would be 5 hd cousins. 360, ps3, ps4, Wiiu. and xbone that 5. 360 is still selling more software. so i don;t feel sorry for MS. if you are talking about next gen say next gen software.
It's already there.
You can't really compare ghosts sales during generation transition to previous cod's. It is undeniably down but the drop is much smaller than battlefield and ac.
Or just use this handy compilation.
GAF's gem will save us from the ambiguity.If you're going up from the smaller PS3 number, yeah. Hoping we can come down from the larger PS4 number, though. Figure someone will ask NPD about it or it'll be in an analyst summary that the press will quote tomorrow.

Using 6,250,000 total units sold
1 = 401,250
4 = 461,875
360 = 3,465,625
3 = 1,901,250
u = 20,625 (ouch)
Damn homey! last gen you was the man homey! The F#%k happened to you?
