I wonder how well it would have sold if it was released in December.
I figure much better.
Shopping frenzy would have led to greater exposure.

Right. I forgot about how the last Playstation system had no JRPGs due to the mobile and handheld markets.
Oh wait.
It would have to do the majority of that in Europe because racing games are dead in NA and console gaming is dead in Japan.
good luck with that lol
I'm sure all the JRPG developers are going to run out and put their games on a system which is selling 5-10k units per week in Japan.
Do people really consider word of mouth a real thing?
We don't live in the 90s anymore...
Just to be clear how much are you expecting FH2 combined to sell in October NPD?
I figure much better.
Shopping frenzy would have led to greater exposure.
Yea, im not saying its bad nor good, its in between. I put FH2 at about 550k next NPD so ~700k ltd in just over a month. Thats if it averages about 100k for october.

What exactly is the relevance of MediaCreate? The fact that there aren't console JRPGs on the charts? Why is that shocking? There's a lull in big releases right now as the Japanese market retools for the next gen.I think it's time you step into a media create thread. Be sure you pour yourself a drink first.
Why exactly do you think it's selling so low? Because there's nothing on it that the Japanese market wants. The devs will move over there once they finish up any remaining PS3 titles.I'm sure all the JRPG developers are going to run out and put their games on a system which is selling 5-10k units per week in Japan.
Yeah sounds about right.Sony said:Destiny broke PlayStation Network

Along with the last chapter of the hobbit. Indirect advertising.
They'll be lucky to get 55K.
FZ2 = TOTAL, not kidding.
Has the Wii U hit triple digits monthly yet? I don't recall their August numbers.

190K for Hyrule Warriors?!
That seems pretty awesome to me
Yeah, no. This isn't going to happen. FH2 will be lucky to hit 500K LTD worldwide by the end of the year.
You serious? Word of mouth can be a huge factor, especially when over the internet. It just doesn't mean a "did you hear?..." passing around town or something.
How do you think the Souls series got popular?
June. It did like 150K I think?
Damn...I guess only Smash Bros. can change those fortunes.Wii U's August 2014 was 59K.
Wii U's September 2014 was down from last year's 95K...so nope...still no triple digits.
Damn, for two consoles and just 55k?
I don't get why you keep bringing up this two console thing. Horizon wasn't a timed exclusive for the Xbox One like Titanfall or something.
Yes. Emphatically.~550k. Is it too much you think?
Mario Kart 8 LTD looks to be about 19% digital sales, guys.
That's pretty high for a Nintendo game, all things considered (other Nintendo games have like 12%).

Xbox one and xbox 360.
The first week is by far the biggest in terms of sales.Damn, for two consoles and just 55k?
World wide maybe, NPD no way. Its currently ~460,000+ and has been growing 100k a week since launch so 700,000 ww LTD in a month is reasonable, but no way in North America alone.
it sold 70k in 3 days of tracking in the UK. So your saying with black friday deals, which its most likely going to get, and unofficial bundles, FH2 can't sell 300k in 3 months?
June 2014 (140k), then nothing until you go back to December 2013
.....when was the last time Vita hit triple digits, December 2012?
I would personally peg it at around 150K.
~550k. Is it too much you think?
Wait, how do we know this? Leaderboards?
.
So what were the Destiny numbers with bundles? I can't find it, sorry.

I know. Read my post again. You keep saying "two consoles," but that doesn't change the fact that the odds that the game's sales would remain consistent week per week are extremely low given how frontloaded they probably are.
Eh I guess you're not familiar with the sales curve for most AAA games [or games in general]? Sure as its niche and a racer it'll likely have better legs but not like that. Not at all like that
First week of sales will still likely contribute to at least 30% - 50% of its overall sales in the region. I think FH2 would be lucky to sell another 100k in October and severely doubt they'd sell near that much
3.0 million, nearly 0.3 million Destiny PS4 + PS3 bundles

Didn't realize that PS3 also had Destiny bundle.
Titanfall XBO ~1.1m vs. Destiny XBO ~945k
I think people didn't realize how big Titanfall launch was on XOne.
