You think that stuff's bad? You should read up on how DynCorp raked in hundreds of millions off State Department military contracts in Afghanistan in the months and years before and after that initial thread. They still had trouble paying back their loans, though.

Trump understands only one way to respond to anything said or done that doesn't go along with him- hit them hard. He attacks until they are no longer an annoyance/threat. That's it. It could be the maid or the CIA, either way he will do anything he can to damage them until he feels satisfied.

It's likely the only reason Trump's doing this. He's more than likely trying to shut down not only the leaks but the investigation itself.
For real. I don't see how the IC could give a shit about playing nice with this guy. I bet they publicly denounce it but play nice for a little while until he crosses some line, then they release any dirt they have on him or more Russia stuff.
I don't care who becomes the next Democratic president but I hope they work to curtail the power of the executive branch. Yes, that would mean gimping themselves but I think for the sake of the country in the long run, we have to at some point say this is too dangerous. Maybe we'll make it through Trump okay but what if we get another guy 30 years down the line that's even worse?
I mean...he may be able to make some noise. But it's not like he's in charge of everything. It's something to see the President try and cripple one of it's best assets.

It will be much, much sooner than 30 years. The white nationalists have a taste of power now, but Trump is too stupid and self serving to be as effective as they'd like. Next time they'll have a true believer that has the celebrity, charisma and populist message of Trump, but with intelligence and less unpredictability.

Although conspiracy theory-ish, I give credence to the idea going around that they are going to have people infiltrate the protesters at the rally this weekend to make sure things get very very violent. They are desperate to change the narrative.
I think if the Libs down there are smart they will have a counter rally at a different location. I would stay far far fucking away from the Trump rally when they are this desperate.
