Wow is obama calling hillary a lazy dev??
Hahaha. Perfect.
Wow is obama calling hillary a lazy dev??
Hillary Clinton's campaign and the outside groups that supported it aired more television advertisements in Omaha than in the states of Michigan and Wisconsin combined.
What amazes me more, is not that Hillary lost despite doing all the "right things", but that Trump won despite doing all the "wrong things". His campaign was an absolute clusterfuck. I don't know if his intuition is really that good, or if he made a high risk gamble that paid off, or if he is just super lucky, but he got his 270 electoral votes. He even lost the popular vote, but managed to max out his margins in the right places to get those states. Seeing it unfold on election night is still one of the most surreal things I've ever witnessed.
His campaign was an absolute clusterfuck.
It's not really as surprising as it seemed at first.
Trump people were confirmed Trump people from the day he said he was going to build a wall and make Mexico pay for it. If you didn't stop supporting him then, there wasn't anything he was going to say or do that could shake you.
And I think Trump recognized that. He may be a lot of things, but he's not an idiot. He knew once he had done enough outlandish shit, and still had a lot of support, that he could keep pushing the envelope and appeal to new and even more extreme groups without losing the support he already had.
Hillary recognized this as well. She could get away with calling Trump people a basket of deplorables, because no Trump voter was going to change their mind and go with her anyway. She just needed to do a better job of motivating democrats to go to the polls and vote for her.
More people voted for Romney in 2012 than Trump in 2016. He was clearly beatable. Too many people stayed home.
Because she can raise the most money. She's been pretty unpopular the entire time she's been in the national spotlight. A lot of people have always disliked her. The democrats decided to run a very unpopular candidate for some reason.
Clinton's campaign has responsibility for her loss, too. Despite knowing her weaknesses, they were still playing for a blowout instead of desperately solidifying the blue wall. Hillary could've scraped a win if her campaign wasn't so shambolic.

Nebraska splits up its electoral votes by congressional district. Obama won the 2nd in 2008 which gave him an extra EV. In fact Trump only won it by about 3 points this year.Nebraska? Obama performed better than Clinton did there and he still got blown out. Why would you even waste any money there?
They wanted to embarrass the Republicans by flipping the unflippableNebraska? Obama performed better than Clinton did there and he still got blown out. Why would you even waste any money there?
I wonder if some on GAF are now going to call Obama names?
In reality the best president continues to speak the truth.

So what do we take away from this? Naturally that it was a stealth condemnation of the Clinton campaign! Drama! That's the story, after all, because fuck the actual substance of his statement. Nobody wants to read that.
I wonder if some on GAF are now going to call Obama names?

So basically a ton of NY visits and numerous no shows sprinkled throughout the campaign trail.

The cupboard is bare in terms of young Democrats ready for a presidential run. The party has done a terrible job in attracting candidates and giving them opportunities to gain exposure.
Is it? I can only imagine Obama foaming within. He brawled himself through eight years of harsh resistance. There are things he didn't get done at all and some things he had to compromise a lot on, but in the end he had a few meaningful changes he could be proud about. And now Hillary Clinton, who got all the backing she could ask for form the democratic side flushed it all down the gutter, forcing him to give the White House to a mad man all while keeping up a nice façade so the country wouldn't break down immediately. How would you feel about this?Yep. What is going on ITT? Clinton is bad but this is a extreme reach.
They were saying the same thing in 1992.
This time a lot of candidates were convinced to not run against Hillary so they stayed out of it.
Dems had a bench of govs from strategic states they could tap though. Which is exactly where clinton came from. What do they have now? Potentially that dude who won North Carolina?

People pointed it out! Obama, Bernie and even Bill Clinton raised their voice (arguably not loud enough) and told the campaign. But it stuck with it's plan to ignore rural areas and go urban only. They deliberately calculated losing votes as they expected to gain more than that in the cities. Plus fundraisers are more effective in New York, aye.Jesus Christ. How come no one pointed this out during the election? It looks so obvious how much of a disaster Hillary's tour was.

I wonder if some on GAF are now going to call Obama names?
In reality the best president continues to speak the truth.
Based Saint Barack, completely free from blame as usual.
Except the fact that he pressured Biden into not running in the primary, and said that and 'Clinton, for all her flaws, was the only one fit to succeed him.'
His criticism here are about her campaign not if she was best fit.Based Saint Barack, completely free from blame as usual.

Does that invalid his statement? She slacked off where he didn't and he obviously didn't make the right judgement by denying Biden, as he could've known her hubris from 2008. But the fact that she didn't work for the Rust Belt votes and just assumed she would get them, even after Bernie showed the world that she had a popularity deficit among her own people there.Based Saint Barack, completely free from blame as usual.
Except the fact that he pressured Biden into not running in the primary, and said that and 'Clinton, for all her flaws, was “the only one” fit to succeed him.'
Jesus Christ. How come no one pointed this out during the election? It looks so obvious how much of a disaster Hillary's tour was. It looks like she was running for office in New York rather than for the POTUS.
I can only speak for myself and my immediate surroundings but umm black ppl knew. Racism is real. It's been accceptable. Never stoppedTo be fair, who knew Americans had to be coddled into not voting for the least qualified candidate and throwing their country into chaos and making racism/sexism acceptable
I sure as hell didn't
It's amazing how people want to take this and use it as a "See Obama said it, so it must be true!"
What about all the political experts who said that in a choice between Trump and Clinton that it was a no brainer? What about people like Noam Chomsky he said that abstaining from voting/voting third party in this election is the same as voting for Trump? Is this his "first election"?
When are people going to stop trying to place blame on her when the choice was so obvious. The threat of a Trump presidency was obvious to everyone but white, rural America.
"Liberals" created an environment that disenfranchised voters who might have come out of they didn't keep hearing "Oh she's not great. She's horrible too, but the lesser of evils". No one wanted to talk about the clear policy difference between the two candidates. She outlined her proposals all the time. Anyone who was actually paying attention knows where she stood on many issues. Anyone who was actually paying attention KNOWS where Trump stood. Climate Change is a hoax.
Everyday it becomes more and more apparent that so called "progressives" refuse to accept any personal responsibility for the atmosphere of distrust and cynasim they created. Even now, because of their own bias, they choose this time to dig into Hillary, saying how awful she was. They are more concerned with being spiteful, they ignore the fact that minorities, POC, women, and the LBGTQ+ community will be the ones suffering. These are our "allies".
Based Saint Barack, completely free from blame as usual.

With what Obama was addressing he isn't wrong. Here's some more proof
But of course continue to deflect if you want.

These are totally different criticisms.
With what Obama was addressing he isn't wrong. Here's some more proof

It's great that your so enlightened, but most people are not or badly informed. You can go on all day about how it's supposed to be, but it's not. And Hillary should've known that.Again, I don't see what Hillary could have said/done for those people who didn't believe a word she said. And again, no one needed to campaign and show up at my door for me to go out and vote. I was using my brain and saw the choices.
You're giving the voters a pass for not using their better critical thinking skills. This shows a deeper problem then when and where she campaigned. The choice was obvious.
Some did, but PoliGAF drowned them out. Michael Moore knew exactly what was going on in the Rust Belt and he was well informed, not a magic prophet. This could've been seen by the campaign. Or people could've read his words if PoliGAF and other Clinton Supporters didn't went on to ridicule them. It's pretty clear why Hillary lost now. Her campaign was trash. How did we not focus on her shit schedule?

But keep trying to absolve these people and continue trying to place blame. Accept no responsibly watch us suffer.
The point would have gone ignored. Many here (myself included) would have supported this on the basis that the presidential election is over and she's fund raising for downticket races.
