I think that the name of the thread should be changed from Wrasslin to Frankman, in the same way that sports championships and awards are named after players and coaches.

November Frankman |OT| witty title involving Ryback and failure

I think it is hilarious that Punk's DVD has special thanks to PWI and ROH...but not IWA MS, which probably had more references and video actually shown, including the very last clip of the doc.

Your clever attempt to fuck up Kane month wasn't subtle enough. Give me back my Sting Money!

Watched the documentary part of the Punk dvd. Really good, almost two hours long. I wish there was more on the ECW part and his feud that led up to him attacking Cena and his pipe bomb moment. Obviously it's more about his personal life, but the actual story line included on the dvd would've been nice.

Watch after the WWE logo for Punk's version of the after credits Marvel scene.

Probably just contract stuff. If they purchased the IWA-MS outright then they don't have to do acknowledgements, whereas the ROH/PWI stuff is probably leased out.

That wasn't the after credits Marvel scene. That was his Ferris Bueller post credits scene.

So Triple H retired? Question....

Would he have had the run that he ultimately had if he wasn't fucking and then married to the bosses daughter?

Trips never drew money; played second fiddle to Michaels for a number of years; and honestly, HBk is probably as responsible for Hunter's success as much as Stephanie - if not more.

He was never particularly amazing in the ring or on the mic. Not that he didn't have his moments, but he just never did anything to separate himself from the true legends despite all of his title runs.

I don't know, I just have the feeling that he's going to be remembered for being something that he actually never was......

What matches are on the Punk DVD?

Taken from an amazon review:
Brent Albright vs. CM Punk
OVW 3/1/06
This was the finals of the OVW Heavyweight title tournament after the title was vacated. This was a good bout, but I think that their rematch with Punk coming out on top would have been a better choice but either way it's a great opportunity to see Punk pre-WWE.

CM Punk's WWE in Ring Debut vs. Justin Credible
ECW 8/1/06
This match introduces the WWE Universe to CM Punk and give us a sneak peek as to what we would all expect from him as he progressed...

CM Punk vs. John Morrison
ECW 9/4/07
This was Punk's last chance at Morrison's ECW title after chasing the belt the last three PPVs. This contest was an excellent showing on both and in the end it marked a well deserved win for the victor of the match and of their feud.

Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Wrestlemania 24
This would be the first of two back to back Money in the Bank victories for Punk at Mania, with this match being the better of the two. From the combatants involved and all of the insane spots that occurred, this Money in the Bank match could very well be the best of them all.

World Tag Team Championship Match
CM Punk and Kofi Kingston vs. Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase
RAW 10/27/08
This match was Punk and Kingston's way of revenge toward Legacy who costed Punk his World Championship at Unforgiven and attacked Kingston who had come to his aid as well. Unfortunately, the team would drop the belts not too long after and would not be seen teaming together as much.

No DQ Match for IC Championship
CM Punk vs. William Regal
RAW 1/19/09
This match took place in Punk's hometown, and he did not disappoint one bit. Regal and himself mesh very well together and when all was said and done Punk brought home the gold.

TLC Match for World Heavyweight Championship
CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy
Summerslam 2009
This would be Punk's first World title win not resulting in a Money in the bank cash in, and was also hi first real heel run in WWE. This match had plenty of table smashing, chair crashing, and ladder leaping to go around, including Hardy's sick Swanton off off a REALLY TALL LADDER!!!! All in all very good match.

CM Punk's Hair vs. Rey Mysterio Joining SES
CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio
Over the Limit 2010
Anytime you throw these two superstars together, you are bound to have a classic matchup (see Capitol Punishment 2011 and Armageddon 2008 for proof). I didn't find this match to be on top of their other matches, but this will not disappoint either, and the stipulations just added more intensity to this match on both ends.

WWE Championship Match
CM Punk vs. John Cena
Money in the Bank 2011
This match right here is without question the greatest match in 2011, and the greatest Cena match in God knows when (maybe ever...). I'm not a Cena fan, but I will give him credit whenever he puts on a good performance, hence this match. Despite all of the outside stories to this match, it didn't hold it back one bit and these two put on an awesome spectacle for a good half hour with so many twists and turns that if you didn't know the outcome you would keep bouncing back from Cena to Punk. Keep in mind that once again they are in Punk's hometown, which really lets Cena know who they're gunning for in this match.

WWE Championship Match
CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho
Wrestlemania 28
This match was long overdue for me. I had always wanted to see these two compete on a bigger stage and Wrestlemania couldn't have been a better choice. I know they have had a couple matches in the past, but were nowhere near this level and didn't give a performance quite as good as this one. This match was simply awesome, and the counters were spot on and sometimes not seen until they happened.

WWE Championship Match
CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan
Over the Limit 2012
I was really nervous this match wouldn't be on here, but thank God it is!!!! This match once I heard was booked was my same reaction as to his previous contest with Jericho: AMAZING!!!! And this match lived up to and exceeded expection. These two really know how to work, and prove why they are the best in the business today.

Aiii

So not worth it
Triple H was a great heel in the early 00's. From hisrecent work behind the scenes he seems to have a real knack for seeing what does and doesn't work.

Yes, he would have had similar succes.

I wonder if vince mcmahon's announcement on monday will be that raw and smackdown are being cancelled and ECW will be resurrected as the one and only.

things obviously aren't going to be the same, it feels awkward enough as it is.

I don't even know what this is suppose to mean, just shrug it off and don't get so offended by people. After two weeks people forget anything that has happened and don't care anymore, TIME TO MOVE ON.

HHH would have been more or less in the same spot without Stephanie. He was already a multiple time champion before they were an item and was very much positioned as THE top heel of the new millennium. By the time the brand extension stuff happened, he was really the last remaining Attitude Era star besides Taker, so it made sense he was the focal point of Raw.

The talking point of HHH only got where he was because of Steph is stupid, outdated, and pretty demonstrably false. Everyone forgets that he was the second most over face behind Austin and Rock, depending on what Rock was up to at the time. And then he was given the ball and never let go. People weren't really buying him at the start of the main event heel run, but Vince was pretty determined to stick with him and make it work. And he did. Well before Stephanie came into the picture.

I think he was one of the best guys on the roster in 2000-leg injury at a time when the roster was pretty stacked. His reign of terror is not nearly as bad watching it in retrospect as it was at the time. He had a lot of really good matches with everyone he was paired up with. I think his 2008 run was as good as anything he's ever done, as well. He was basically doing exactly what Flair was doing in the 80s, but in a different era. Were the hardcore fans throwing fits about Flair always winning the title back then?

EDIT: Let's hope for Team Friendship vs The Ascension. Or Hero and a partner of his choosing.

Next thread.

Your clever attempt to fuck up Kane month wasn't subtle enough. Give me back my Sting Money!
I think there's only one poster here who is worthy of making Sting money but I'm not quite sure who it is.

You strike me as the type of poster who would cheat his way into Sting money, like Kevin Nash.
The next thread will be War Games themed, in honor of Survivor Series.

Well in that case we should make it a monthly award, The Frankman Trophy winner, to be announced in every OP. It'll be like the Conn Smythe trophy which, despite living in a hockey city, I couldn't tell you what it honors without checking Wikipedia.

(Playoff MVP)

The Frankman Trophy will be equally as vague. There'll be a nice graphic banner to be included in the OP and the winner will have the option of wearing a commemorative Frankman-inspired avatar that will be based on some of his most iconic avatars like the .Hack, MVP, and Mike D'Antoni avatars.

To help keep the memory of one of Wrasslegaf's most notorious members alive.

The circumstances of his banning are pretty suspicious. I'm re-opening the case and launching a full scale investigation.

I believe someone setup The Frankman.

The next Wrandom Wrestling Stream will be dedicated to The Frankman, whenever that will be I don't know! They happen when I least expect it.

So this popped up in my google news reel:

A porn company DESPERATELY wants to put Hulk Hogan's sex tape on their site ... so much so that they are offering him an "open checkbook" and gratuitously stroking his ego at the same time. TMZ has obtained an offer letter from Sex.com to Hulk ... and they're looking to lock up the rights to his sex tape, which made the rounds on the internet this week without Hulk's permission.

In the letter, Sex.com says they can help Hogan with his leaked situation and, of course, they're are asking to release the tape on their site.

The letter states, "While this may be an embarrassing ordeal for you to go through right now, it doesn't need to be ... you are 'bigger' than Andre the Giant where it matters."

The site says they have an "open checkbook" if Hulk is interested in signing a deal.

We reached out to Hogan for his response -- but so far, no word back.

Hogan penniless no more?
