The case for PSYCHO SID.
1. In 1996 he is in the best shape of his entire career. This is saying something as the dude always looks great.
2. While built like a heel, and with a definite heel gimmick and even a heel move set, Psycho Sid is a terrible heel and a magnificent babyface. It does not make sense, but this is an incontrovertible fact.
3. Sid, for whatever reason, has a gigantic fanbase in the traditional territory of the WWF. From Maine to Pennsylvania, Sid will be cheered no matter what. The rest of the country doesn't give a shit about him.
4. For whatever reason in 1996-7 Sid basically doesn't botch and barely makes a mistake in his promos.
5. Vince was right. Sid was the man to replace Hogan as the man of the 90's. It didn't work out because both of them were pretty flaky at the time, plus there's just no possible way Sid wasn't juicing in the 90's.
6. He has an incredible ability to juice up a company whenever they are near their bottom. Happens in WCW and WWF.
