The rub wouldn't help Reigns at this point. With fans who don't want him shoved down their throats, they're going to hate him more. With fans who like him, it's not going to change their mind about it. There may be a lot of people who don't know who he is, but at the end of the day, Reigns sealing the victory instead of Taker is just going to make those people go 'wtf?'
But they can't use Orton because he's injured right now. So you still have to worry about who Rollins is facing, who Del Rio will face as well as Owens. If you took Reigns, Kane and Ambrose, you have 3 gaping holes open you need to fill. You can't have Sheamus cash-in for a SS title match because that's not how heels use the briefcase.

BikerTaker will face Baron Corbin in a special event called Road Wild that will take place outdoors and be exclusively attended by bikers (revving engines in place of "THIS IS AWESOME" naturally). You'd have to give Rollins incentive to do it and not turn on them. With the Kane connection, whether he's on the team or not, Rollins isn't a good fit for that team because of that fact alone.
