The "Mickey James is old" storyline isn't that bad to me. From the perspective of a sports player, she's at the point at which you're at the tail end of your career and she is several years older than everyone in the division other than Asuka. I suppose the biggest reason it doesn't bother me because the obvious takeaway you're supposed to have is that Mickey James is still hot as hell and doesn't look even vaguely old by any reasonable standards. It doesn't seem anywhere near as dumb as Piggy James, I guess.

I think the problem is that the Bucks are directly making money of it whereas Devitt and the BC weren't really doing that as far as I know.

I guess I just don't see it that way. It's not that I don't see the implication you're seeing, I just don't think its one of those things that comes off as super ridiculous because Mickie doesn't even sort of look old. You're supposed to think Alexa is being absurd.

Nah, I'm not really sure the WWE UK thing's ever going to take off tbh, the whole impetus for it was WoS on ITV and now that's dead there's no reason to produce a UK only show than to appeal to UK fans, or if Sky wants more hours of TV.

I could see Progress and other "WWE friendly" indies becoming a sort of unofficial developmental for guys WWE want to get more experience, there's already one wrestler who you could argue started with Progress for that very reason.

I don't think you are supposed to seriously believe that Mickie is old because she still looks great and Alexa talking shit about other wrestlers by saying things that aren't really true is Alexa's gimmick. It seems like a bog standard wrestling work to me. I don't think it's supposed to come off as a worked shoot, it's that wrestling fans have a tendency to believe basically anything a heel says is a worked shoot these days.

I wish they didn't make Aleister Black talk. He's not necessarily terrible (like Roderick Strong, hoo boy), but he was so much better mute.

ROH vs. Sanity could be a pretty cool fued. I never really got Adam Cole, though. I feel like O'Reilly has more potential. He looks and moves kinda weird.

That isn't any more true than literally any other storyline in which the heel wins. It makes Alexa look like an unreasonable jerk and gives Mickey an incentive. The fact she doesn't win doesn't mean anything more than anyone else who doesn't win against Alexa.

I think people are simply accustomed to taking every single storyline as a shoot and therefore assume everything is a burial. Almost every wrestler has gone through the "you're old to hack it" storyline. Cena is doing it right now as well.
