you mean Virtual Desktop? yeah, it's Oculus VD, probably free to all - one more business ruined. These guys should really focus on making minigames instead of OS-level utilities...What is air link? Is it wireless pc gaming native instead of sharing the desktop thing?
Yeah that makes it less painful, but then it slowly drops instead so I have to push it up, it’s not easy to find the sweet spot.how about loosening that strap a bit?

I’ve seen that some use an elite strap with battery as a counter weight.
Thanks I’ll try thatI use standard fine. Those 2 side flappers I turn a bit up, above the ears - a nice tip from some streamer. It seems to hold better higher up at the back of your head, but also be sure to shorten the top strap so it also helps distributing weight.
Yeah this crossed my mind too. Pretty sad when a feature that should have been there from the start get a private business to fill that gap, only to be shut out eventually. Besides being baked into the OS it's not known yet, virtual desktop dev is pretty confident that his solution will still be better and he's still evolving it.Is air link any better?

I don't like Oculus stealing ideas but shit like this shoulda been built in from the start
Yep he's a shitbag, I'm a software developer so I'm aware of some of his behavior.this gentleman did exactly that back in the days
I bought this $12 head strap cushion and it works great and makes a huge difference in comfort and stability.I get pain on my forehead and around the eyes after awhile from Quest 2. Not that big of a deal since the battery life is so low. But am I alone in this? Maybe from cutting the bloodflow in the pulsating angry vein on my forehead or something? (I’m not angry but just so you know what I’m talking about)
Demeo looks cool. VR D&D/"board games" is an area that has huge potential in VR.

Cas and Chary VR just uploaded a vid on VR games for 2021.
Cas is a VR beast and really knows her stuff. The list is by genre...

shit hitting the fan:
not first time:
my advice is focusing on mini games for the device and not trying to come up with apps that should be OS-level...
I am a fresh vr owner so I'm stoked. I mean one would have hoped for a pcvr full remake but I'm sure it'll be a cool experienceAs expected, RE4 for Quest! Lol

looking and playing great. I don't understand why the difficulty getting Doom 3 to run officially there, another game from same years.

His port is great. At least to those who went the pains to play it.Thankfully the dr. beef mod is outstanding so we really dont need an official version.
Me too! It feels like we jumped on the VR wagon at just the right time.
It's funny reading the reactions from the VR virgins on the RE announcement thread. "No, not VR, we wanted a remake!" It's strange to me that there are people who would be excited to simply play basically the same game as released in 2005 (only with improved graphics), but are completely disinterested in a completely fresh and novel way to experience the game (i.e. VR)
That thread just wants to crap on facebook as if their preferred big corporation is morally superior.Me too! It feels like we jumped on the VR wagon at just the right time.

.
Oh, Nintendo fanboys back in the Wii days were all the rage hyping the laser gun style shooting, pointing the remote controller at the tv almost breaking their wrists.
today they'd only play it if they could wear cardboard and aim with their superior ringfit controller...

Can anyone tell me whether a third person RE4 would have been a viable option, or does that perspective just not work for VR games?
Yes on the face cover. I got a cheap silicon cover for 8 dollars off Amazon. It keeps it cool and makes it easy to clean before passing it over to a friend after an intense session. I couldn’t imagine the difference and expensive upgrade makes. So i got the frankenquest and some Kiwi grips. any other accessories I should get? New face cover?
also first RE with proper immersion - sorry, RE7 but actually having a gun in your hands and knife is essential...Hell yeah, RE4 is a great pickup for Quest 2 users! That's gonna be some scary shit in VR.
I stopped playing flat games altogether after I saw old games like Skyrim, Borderlands and others being easier to run in VR.I never ended up playing RE4 because PCSX2 was kind of shit when I tried it years ago. I might be more motivated to finish it in VR. At the rate I finish games maybe they do a VR version of the Dead Space series before I can get to it
Yeah, I thought lucky me because I only ever made it halfway through Borderlands 2 and Skyrim on flat.I stopped playing flat games altogether after I saw old games like Skyrim, Borderlands and others being easier to run in VR.
I'm expecting to play most old stuff in VR now and only play current games years on when they get a VR port. It's working fine to me, I still didn't finish those big OW...

I loved Oblivion on the OG Xbox, but could ever get into Skyrim for some strange reason (dropped it after 2 hours). Maybe I should give it another go, but in VR this time (once I can finally build a new PC)
Morrowind or Oblivion? Oblivion was on XB360
and to think TWD SS sold so well on psvr:
Hmm, they changed the narrative a bit:
betting a full 2 years before the next. 2 years from release...
