Oculus Quest

But I wish it was a full highly replayable awesome anime mecha game. Maybe it'll pave the way for such.
The anime parts are ok. The gamey parts are pure jank. Vader Immortal is the better one of these cinematic games. I'd still get them if they decide to make more Gundam games like this though. A Robotech one would be cool too.

I haven't played VR in quite a few years.

Here's my question for the faithful... What are the best Quest games to release in the last three years. I'm talking 2022, 2023 and all of this year so far?

Please don't list anything from 2021 or prior. I'm just trying to find out what I have missed, if anything

Have you ever played Powerwash Simulator? The Quest version is fantastic.

Did San Andreas VR ever get officially cancelled?
Yes about a month ago.

GTA: San Andreas is on hold indefinitely while we both focus on other projects. We look forward to working with our friends at Rockstar in the future.

Some friends have just bought the quest 3,wow the improvement over my quest 2 is great.

Much better fov, graphics and sound.

I I didn't have so many attachments like extended battery, golf club, carry case etc for the 2 I'd upgrade.

I think I'll try and hold out till quest 4.

Doom 3 is getting dynamic shadows on Quest 3 this fall. Looking back, that puts it well ahead of the PSVR1 version I owned. The resolution increase was far and away higher on Quest 2 vs psvr1, Quest 3 pushes that even further.

50% off Quest optimizer for the weekend. I would argue for the price, Quest 3 has incredibly good resolution. This allows you to max that out for standalone games. It's drastic.

To me, some of the games look like they're running on PCVR but you allocated all the resources to resolution. It can be that big of an improvement at the cost of battery life. I would think most of us have an extra battery extender though.

the puzzle bobble game looks super blurry without it. no idea what's going on with it and survios are terrible at supporting their games. the last patch came out 3 years ago...

I have been apart of Spinball EA for about a month now. When I can find an opponent, it can be really really fun.

Now only if Orion Drift would give me EA access, I have been signed up waiting for 10 months. It's frustrating watching people sign up and get accepted after a week.

Heads up everyone, Quest Games Optimizer (QGO) is on sale for 50% off, making it $5.99 instead of the normal $11.99

Absolutely must have to get the most out of your headset.

Is there a list of game settings "bible" for games?

I played around with Asgard's Wrath 2 last night and was shocked it could almost handle 140% resolution. The framerate held together unless an enemy was super close to me and I would get a hitch in performance. There are all sorts of options for the CPU and GPU. The "auto" mode didn't seem to really improve anything, maybe a slight boost in performance.

Not that I am aware of, but I have never gone searching for such a thing. Are you aware that there are multiple presets that you can select? Most games will have options such as "HD" "HD+" "🚀" higher fps).

These presets have been tested over long periods to ensure reliable performance.

Edit: also, QGO let's you record stereoscopic 3D videos using the two cameras on the headset as a little bonus

I saw the HD and HD+ but there wasn't a way to select the entire present. Only the default selectable on asgards for me, so I manually push the resolution.

I just checked and it looks like Asgards Wrath only has the fps boost preset. I swear it had some HD profile at some point, they must have removed them.

edit: i'm always looking for someone to play multiplayer vr with. MarkMe2525 is my meta name if you want to follow each other.

I think it used to before the Q3 update was pushed.

Some neat stuff I had not seen in this showcase, namely Skera, Sight Unseen & Amelia's Escape.

Did anyone buy Vampire: The Masquerade on Quest?

I tried the demo today (first 30 minutes) and actually enjoyed it... I've owned Assassin's Creed since launch on Q3 and never did finish it, but this game's atmosphere & vampire concept was a bit more compelling.

Still, not sure if it's worth a purchase in the end--wondering how well it holds up over the full game.
