I don't normally care about titillation and risqué, but damn that Laura costume is not jiving with me. SF has some minor things, but that's pushing it for me personally. Bit hard to justify to younger players who want to get into SF. Maybe I'm growing conservative in my older days.

Lol these costumes are hella dumb. Why would anyone want to expose as much a skin as possible in a real fight. I'd be pretty embarrassed to play this game and have others watch me play it.

Yeah that's why I'm so confused by this. Like how on Earth is that little slap somehow making anyone more uncomfortable than fucking everything going on with Laura. Mika for sure is a sexualized character but there's a real character there imo, like I can see the charm in it. Laura straight up looks like they ported a pornstar into the game.

Because the buttslap was a sexually charged content potentially giving the game a higher rating. Having revealing outfits in itself is not a sexual thing, otherwise you could not go to a freaking beach without wearing a tuxedo.

I was a lot more interested in Aeon from the gameplay description but forgot how Venus was supposed to play.
I'm not here to change your mind. Your mind was made up the day you pre ordered the game. What will happen is you'll get the game, you'll play it, you'll unlock the costumes and you won't think about how "embarrassed" you are. This is all fluff because people need something to complain about.
These kind of costumes worked ok when they were sprites. But now they are super high detail 3D models and it's getting pretty creepy. What with all the camera angles zooming in on buttholes and bouncing boobs.
Sf2 had one frame were you could pause it during a spinning bird kick and see some panties drawn from 4 pixels. Now it's more like watch street fighter and bust out the hand lotion. Super normal stimuli up the wazoo.
I was just playing the beta, using cammy as my character, and both my partner and teenage girl were in the room and they were saying things like 'um, she's not wearing anything', 'oh she's showing dat ass', 'how is she keeping her bits in?'.
Unfortunately I didn't have a good answer. These kind of observations just did not come up when street fighter was composed of low res sprites, and that's what people choose to ignore when they say "street fighter has always had these kind of outfits". Not with camera angles like these it didn't, not with animations like these. IT'S DISTRACTING FROM THE GAME. And it cheapens the brand that I've loved since sf2. It's just so low hanging fruit to put big titties in a game to sell copies, and that's why it's being compared to DOA. Street fighter should be the fighting game ambassador to all players like it was in the past. DOA sure doesn't fit that role.

Same thing happened when I was playing the beta in my living room when my wife and her friend were present. My thought at the time was: "I should probably not play this when they're around." and that I had that thought / response (given that neither of us are prudes) is a real shame.
Lol, this was the first thought I had when I saw SFV's Cammy way back at E3.
