There ya go NJ steppin it up... Shaq... benched... a non-factor.. 0 points... I tell ya if Miami wins this game and Shaq has another low scoring game the talk is gonna start about him... and his worth....

Would someone please put me out of my misery? The Pistons shouldn't have even been in this game, the refs fucking had the Sixers in the penalty like 1 minute into the 4th,and then took them to the foul line about 5-6 times in a row.Meanwhile we couldn't get a foul called on the Pistons to save our life.

Iguodala took way to many stupid shots where he would go up,hesitate then shoot the fade away -_-...Korver's last shot was just awful, not to mention Dalembert would be right under the goal after getting a rebound and look to pass it back out instead of going up strong with it,fuck!

But yea,NBA officials are easily the worst of any sport ever.

Refresh my memory on what's the injury that he's scoreless this far in to the game? He's a complete non-factor so far.

Shaq should foul out each game that elbow shit is now sub-conscious he does it every shot.

I thought Shaq had a thigh bruise or something?

Apparently, Paul is the first ever to have 5 or more points, rebounds, assists and blocks in a playoff game.

Blocks only became an official stats in '73 but it's still impressive :D

What? Tim Duncan almost had a quadrouple double (he was shot 1 block) agains the Nets in 2003, so there is no way that is true.

Yeah I could have swore that Hakeem was one away from quadruple double in the playoffs before too so I was wondering about that stat. Hell I am pretty sure Shaq has come close a few times as well.

Maybe they meant that it was the first time for a guard?

Shaq is still getting over his thigh bruise. Tim Duncan's been riding that fucking ankle for all the pity in the world. An older, wiser diesel will naturally take a little longer to mend. Let's extend the same courtesy to him. ;) Besides, we're still leading. When he needs to, he'll strain the thigh a bit more and help give us an advantage again. But for now, the Heat are content to just sweep the Nets the hell out of the playoffs so they can get a proper rest before steamrolling the rest of our victims. :D PEACE.

Dude you are delusional. The Heat are up 3-0 against the fucking Nets! They only got in the playoffs because the Cavs choked. I really haven't seen anything impressive from the Heat overall. If they don't raise their level of play I wouldn't be surprised to see them lose in the 2nd round.

P.S. A wiser Diesel wouldn't pick up 3 stupid fouls that easily. That is what we expect of Yao, not Shaq.

Well yeah that's true about Tim, as for the Heat...NJ locked them down in the 2nd qtr. They better come out more aggressive 2nd half.

EDIT: Bionic... while I generally agree with you let me say that I don't think there is ANY way that the Heat could lose to the Wizards OR the Bulls it would take the talent of both those teams put together IMO. The Nets at this point in the playoffs look like a much more rounded team than either of the 2nd round folks... the Heat just need to get on their P's and Q's and close out the Nets so they can rest.

To be fair to Miami, Wade and the other Heat guards have played very well but the only reason they are dominating this series is cos the Nets have nothing inside. If Shaq doesn't step up his game, they better hope the Wizards win that series cos Chicago has power inside...

I want them to play Detroit and get CRUSHED :D

The Nets at this point in the playoffs look like a much more rounded team than either of the 2nd round folks.

How so? Nets have no halfcourt game to speak of, nothing at the 4 and only offense at the 5. Wizards and Bulls are much more balanced and while the Wiz guards would make Wade and Co. work, I think the Bulls have a better chance to beat Miami cos they have better bigs and actually try to play D :lol

Darien I am not saying that the Heat will lose, I am just saying that they have not played very well in the first round. Of course past successes or failures mean nothing to the series you are playing. The Heat don't have much playoff experience so it is not surprising that they will play to the level of their competition, but it IS surprising to see Shaq do that. He is a veteran with 3 rings and he should know better.

Plus, how much can a thigh bruise slow you down? I wonder if that is just a cover for a more serious injury. A ankle injury totally changes the way you play, but a fucking thigh bruise? That sounds like something Vince would have suffered from in Toronto....

Miame should lose this game so that Shaq could have more time to heal. As much as I want the heat to win they are just playing the Nets and the their next opponent is bound to be a bigger challenge than them. They need Shaq at full strength or as close to it for the rest of the season.

How would Shaq get more time to heal if Miami lost this game?

Exactly what I'm bitching about... WTF is he doing?

Ok I've been gone since my last post... has he done anything?

EDIT:
I just checked yahoo.. Shaq is STLL scoreless? Please tell me that is a typo....

Uh... they would have another game with the Nets that he could it out or not play as much, giving himself time to heal.

Their next opponent is either Chicago or Washington... come on now. That series has at least two more games to go.. that's what.. another week before they play again?

Why not win the game and finish the series (which they will do) and not have to play again until the next round? Losing today = more work. Winning today = less work. PEACE.

Again...wtf do Laker fans know about the importance of big men? Sorry, Shaq doesn't have to do shit until its necessary. Right now it's not. We've got a red carpet to the conference finals. Detroit is gonna be so beaten and bruised by that point that they'll be a cakewalk+1 for us. I don't see what's to be worried about. The Heat bench almost beat the Pistons in our last outing. Bionic and Konex are just in super-bitter playoff mode. All the bitterness of the regular season, but with the added insult of having no one to support.

Hate on the Heat some more. We don't want Fakers on our bandwagon. It's gonna be extra sweet when the Diesel and the Heat are celebrating the thrill of victory in the final game of the season. :) That's my word. PEACE.

Did you watch the Lakers this season? We can also school you on the importance of a PG and good coaching :lol

Pistons will crush the Heat!

This season was also a good example of the importance of a good SG too eh? ;)

People whose teams didn't even make the playoffs shouldn't even be in there... ;) ;)

Ah I see Shaq had what 17 in the 2nd half? Sounds like he put some effort in... shades of his old MDE self?

konex aren't you going to be pissed after the heat win the championship this year? the following will happen:

Heat win with a hobbled shaq. The credit goes to Dwayne Wade for carrying the team.

When the lakers won championships, the credit mostly went to shaq for carrying the team (which he did)

how sad. lakers win, shaq gets the credit. heat win, it was in spite of a half-effective shaq. you lose kobe!

wade > kobe

I don't remember seeing much of you in this thread until the Heat win a game, and at that point you start making idiotic comments about how easy it will be them. And I never said big men weren't important, I said Shaq and most of the Heat were not playing well. Are you saying that they can't play better? And I think the fact that Shaq is shooting something like 42% in the series (something he has never come close to before) shows that I am right. When the Heat actually win something you can have something to brag about, right now they have nothing, and only Pistons fans have any room to talk shit (If you actually watched basketball you would have seen how good the Pistons were during their 4th quarter comeback).

P.S. When was the last time the Heat won something meaningful? Oh that is right...

:lol at all the Heat support after they win. Most of these people probably never entered the NBA thread before.

And you call Laker fans 'Fakers'? That only applies to Kobe lovers, most of the Laker crew is still sticking around even when our team sucks.

I'm gonna be laughing at these silly Heat "fans" when they get roughed up by Detroit. You think any good defensive team will let Wade in the paint like that all day? You think Sheed and Dice will miss open jumpers when Shaq doesn't show on the pick n roll? You think the Pistons will need to double Shaq leaving wide open shooters? :lol

I can't wait :D

roughed up by a detroit team who has to struggle beating a team that barely made the playoffs? ok

the heat are highly superior to the sixers, and the sixers could have pretty easily tied their series 2-2 today. i dont expect the heat will tear up the pistons in this fashion (god knows they aint sweeping), but at the sametime you have to understand that the heat have a much, much better team than the sixers, and shaq is only going to get better as he gets more rest. the heat swept the nets with half a shaq. you'll see koney!

If you actually watched hoops, you'd know the Sixers beat the Heat twice (one in Miami) this season. How many times did the Nets beat Miami all year? That's right, none! Why are you guys acting like Miami has proved anything yet? :D

Didn't we have this talk already earlier in this thread? Besides as we both know what happened in the season means zippo come playoff time.

miami also beat detroit in detroit. what's your point? that's the regular season.

miami has done more in this years playoffs than any other team in the league: they advanced to the 2nd round

Exactly my point. What happens in the first round means jack shit since the competition is different. When both teams meet in the ECF, Miami is going DOWN!!! :D

PS: And Miami beat an unbalanced NJ team that only made the playoffs cos the Cavs collapsed. Big accomplishment! :lol

Poor Konex, no team of his own to route for, he's down to just bitter rants.

Oh man, did I touch a nerve or what? :lol Your team sucks, you're just lashing out. Especially since Shaq winning the championship with/for the Heat doesn't just look bad on Kobe, but the stupid fan-whore/whore-fan organization that let him go. I've been in these threads after losses. I've been posting irregularly pretty much everywhere on this forum, but I've been pretty regular the last two months since I haven't been going out much anymore.

I'm a rational fan. I criticize when appropriate. I've been beefing about the turnovers for the past few months now. I may ocassionally hpye up an opponent like the powerhouse Nets :lol but that's called sportsmanship 'round where I come from. Up next, we have the young and talented Bulls or the dark horse Wwwyyyzzzrrrddds.com. Hopefully the Big Aristotle can get healed up in the meantime and come back ready to roll. 30/20 in the Finals...you'll see. :D PEACE.

I'm loving this.

Wade is playing excellent so far these playoffs and it's making all the Lebron-MVP talk a distant memory. I know there are a lot of Bron Lovers here, but you have to admit Wade has a better all-around game and is much more efficient. Wade shot over 50% the entire series. He knows when to take good shots instead of hoisting shots from almost anywhere even when he's hot.

Now with Shaq playing subpar, if Wade continues to play like this he has a realistic chance of being a Finals MVP (assuming they win it all). People can laugh in my face but I think Wade will eventually be the bigger player (compared to Bron) once all the hype dies down. People like winners and if the Cavs don't start getting better results, Bron will lose some of his luster. Bron either needs to learn to make supporting players play better around him or he's going to have to learn to play alongside another star. We already know Wade can do both...

Whoa, what? Outside of Cleveland, who was seriously talking about 'Bron being MVP?

PS: How he hell is Tim Duncan gonna guard Amare when K-Mart was abusing him last night? Spurs need to somehow stop the other guys if they're gonna beat the Suns :lol

K-Mart abused Tim? Oh God! He got past Tim in 3 plays in the first 6 minutes of the game. After that, just like the rest of the series, Martin was a non-factor, with or without Tim defending him. He is an overrated loser.
