Why not just use a USB mouse for mario Paint on Wii? I mean the VC MSX titles have USB keyboard support...Pellham said:I don't know, i'd rather you know, use a mouse for Mario Paint than the wiimote. Drawing on thin air would seem like a huge hassle, and the only part of Mario Paint that might be even remotely playable is the bug swatting game.

I honestly do not know, but I wouldn't see a reason for them to not do it.DavidDayton said:Do the C64 games have USB keyboard support too?
The C64 keyboard is a bit different from a normal one, so that wouldn't work. Pressing 1 on the Wii remote (Not sure what button on other controllers) brings up an image of the C64 keyboard on-screen, after which you can point the remote at it and press buttons.DavidDayton said:Do the C64 games have USB keyboard support too?

Yup.DavidDayton said:Should I take this as confirmation that the C64 emulation does not support USB keyboards?
WII-KLY UPDATE: TWO WIIWARE GAMES AND ONE VIRTUAL CONSOLE GAME ADDED TO WII SHOP CHANNEL
This week's additions to the Wii Shop Channel will have players setting their sights on a wild variety of targets. From solid walls to wriggling fish to fierce samurai warriors, you'll face plenty of fresh and unusual challenges as you master these distinctive games, each featuring an inventive twist on a proven formula. You'll also notice the ongoing expansion of both WiiWare and Virtual Console offerings, bringing you the best of what's new along with classic titles that hold fond memories.
Nintendo adds new and classic games to the Wii Shop Channel at 9 a.m. Pacific time every Monday. Wii owners with a high-speed Internet connection can redeem Wii Points to download the games. Wii Points can be purchased in the Wii Shop Channel or at retail outlets. This week's new games are:
WiiWare
Block Breaker Deluxe (Gameloft, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone-Mild Suggestive Themes, 800 Wii Points): Prepare for the frenzy of the coolest block-breaker game ever. Block Breaker Deluxe is a reinvention of the classic arcade brick-breaker game with a trendy graphical style, fun atmosphere and an exclusive multiplayer mode. Lively characters and amazing graphics provide distinctive settings of the jet-set nightlife, including a cool bar, dance club, casino and more. Special bricks, multiple bonuses, secret weapons, paddle size options and ball-speed variations make this fascinating game even more challenging. The Block Breaker Deluxe rage has arrived.
Cocoto Fishing Master (Neko Entertainment, 1 player, Rated E for Everyone, 700 Wii Points): Welcome to the adventures of Cocoto, Fishing Master. Get ready for a completely new experience on Wii. Play the role of Cocoto and travel the world to find five millennial fish. Only they can stop the magic cauldron from overflowing with lava and prevent the world from being destroyed. Thanks to Cocoto Fishing Master for Wii, fishing has never been such fun. Use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers like a real fishing rod to catch more than 30 different fish. Discover five enchanted lakes in five different worlds from Cocoto's universe. Confront gigantic bosses to collect each fragment of the statuette that will allow you to wake the great god Geo from his slumber. Meet Cocoto's friends, sell your fish to Baggy and buy new fishing equipment from Neuro's shop.
Virtual Console
SAMURAI SHODOWN (NEOGEO, 1-2 players, Rated T for Teen-Animated Blood, Crude Humor, Violence, 900 Wii Points): This first entry in the extremely popular and revolutionary fighting-game series was released in 1993. Choose from 12 swordsmen with highly individualistic characteristics and fight furiously, ultimately confronting the evil Amakusa Shiro Tokisada. Each character wields his or her own specific weapon, but you must be careful not to lose it during the heat of battle. Some of the fighters also bring an animal companion into the fray, offering a unique aspect to the quick-paced action. Another significant feature of the game is the anger gauge, which indicates the level of anger felt by each of the combatants as they suffer repeated injuries. If the anger reaches its maximum level, the attacking ability of the character increases, leading to even more intense confrontations. Through it all, the refined camera system smoothly zooms in and out of the playing field, presenting the frenzy of the battle while showcasing the lively background (watch as the referee scores hits). Awaken the samurai spirit within and get ready for a new kind of fight.

Kaijima said:Question for folks who got the Japanese release of SamSho - what blood mode is the VC version set to, ala NeoGeo region and violence switches? Green blood, red blood, kill moves on or off..?
What is SamSho 2 rated? M or T?
I was really looking forward to SamSho 1 and 2, then realized "it's Nintendo AND SNK USA. They'll probably release the VC versions in 2008 censored."
.vc reviews said:When it was first released, Samurai Showdown caused concern in America due to the amount of blood it contained. It was subsequently censored when released in the US, sadly removing much of its appeal (not to mention realism – it’s hard to hit someone with a katana and not draw a little blood, after all). Astonishingly, the Virtual Console release has all the gore intact - this should come as quite a shock to anyone who remembers the toned-down version of Mortal Kombat that SNES fans had to endure all those years ago! Nintendo has obviously relaxed its stance!

Yes.handofg0d said:Was I the only one really hoping that they would release Animales De La Muerte this week?
Oh yeah, now the name is familiar. The series which consists of games called Cocoto + generic title. I guess as an owner of Wii Sports/Fit I can't bash that naming choice too much, though.AugustDivision said:Cocoto fishing master was already released on ps2/gamecube, but was updated with nunchuk/wiimote controls.

The game isn't scheduled for release until this fall. It was never planned as a launch window title.

unless they use the "licensing surcharge" excuse because they have to pay SE to release it.Cheesemeister said:It shouldn't, as the game was released on the Super NES in the US as well.
Reposting the question so it doesn't get skipped, Anyone know how many blcoks Samurai Shodown needs?
Man God said:Sometimes you do but at least you have numbers backing up your feelings!
A little "Let's Positive Thinking!" is what this thread needs.

I heard there was going to be extra points charged in Japan because of licensing fees (like TMNT on NES was here, also because we all know how Square and digital distribution is.) But either way, I hope SMRPG launches this month in the US and Europe/Australia.Cheesemeister said:It shouldn't, as the game was released on the Super NES in the US as well.

This reminds me of the anticipation for the Dojo updates. lol, It would even crash Gaf sometimes!crowphoenix said:I'm saving this for latter use. Awesome. It always amazes me how positive I get 30 minuted before the update goes up. :lol Shining Force 2 will come! Oh, yes. I may be old, bald, with a scraggly beard, banging my cane on my porch yelling about Kids on my virtual lawn and how in my day we had to play games with controllers and only 16 bits (and we liked it!) but it will come.
If Nintendo would release SF2, I feel like I'd be more apt to pick up a random game here and there, rather than just waiting around.
