Official bitching about Hudson abandoning VC support. [VC/WiiWare = lost cause]

I seem to have lost the memo, but now that SMRPG's out, what's the full list of games that we should be bitching for again? All I can recall from the list is Earthbound.

Well shit there goes another game I'll have to get whenever that storage solution comes around. I have cleaned out the fridge as much as I can.

I have my channels, my game saves, Dr. Mario and Strongbad and that has me filled to capacity. This freaking blows.

I won't be getting any of today's offerings, but that's not to say that the VC isn't getting some quality games.

I was hoping for Mega Man 9 as a Labor Day Present, oh well. I guess I'll just have to wait for later in September! :lol

SB takes up an assload of space.

And we should now be bitching for Dracula X: Rondo of Blood (PC-E), Majora's Mask, Pilotwings, Pilotwings 64 and Mario Golf 64 (just announced in Japan).

I also own the SNES cart, and having replayed the game as recent as 3 months ago I won't be purchasing this little goody. But to those who do not own the cart, or haven't played the game, or want to relive the experience once again, this is absolutely good news!

Bring on the rpg onslaught!

Let's see. Now on the most desired Virtual Console list..

Mario & Wario, Kirby Dreamland 3, Spanky's Quest, Pocky and Rocky, Earthbound, Tetris Attack, Turtles In Time, Tales Of Phantasia.

Before you harp on me about Dreamland 3 over Superstar, let it be said, Superstar is far superior, but with the DS remake coming out I'd rather have a title I've never played in Dreamland 3.

the emulation was horrible though

You know, I've heard a lot of people claim this, but we just did a playthrough with Majora's Mask (apparently, the most glitchy of the bunch) and it was flawless. Have any of you actually had issues, or is this some sort of legendary myth?

Sound issues.
When you change zone, the sound goes all jerky.
It was only in M'sM, the other 3 games are flawless.

Oh, M'sM also had random crashes here and there, but it wasn't frequent.

Other games- Castlevania III, Super Mario Kart, Star Fox and Super Punch-Out just to name a few. But top of my list is Dracula X. It's been out for a good while in Japan.

I had it randomly crash on me enough times that I gave up trying to play through on it and bought my N64 cart back from the shop.

Expect no better from the VC emulation.

Why shouldn't we? The Zelda CE was done by NST and the emulation was rushed (It was free so there wasn't any real incentive to fix it). VC emulation on the other hand is done at NOJ and is flawless, the Wii is capable of emulating the N64 without breaking a sweat.

Oh MM GCN also had numerous graphic glitches as well (Black Kokiri sword and missing fog effects)

The list grows thinner! Dig deep! there's still more complaining to be done!

I'm sorely temped. If I wasn't going to part with my Wii in 2 weeks for a year to do study abroad I'd be all over SMRPG. I'll probably get it anyway though.

Hmm, I didn't have any issues with the emulation on the first Zelda bonus disc, which I'd be willing to part with if Nintendo ever put the Ocarina of Time Master Quest up on VC. But yeah, the Majora's Mask one was just crash happy and overall a buggy mess. I figured it was mostly due to the memory expansion not being emulated correctly if they both ran on the same engine. I'd get that on VC day one just so I could finish the game finally.

Mine would freeze at the fourth temple. Pretty often too :(
If the VC release is bugged, I'll probably cry

It's no myth. There is major slowdown in Clocktown, the game constantly freezes (and that's extra annoying with MM's save system), and there are strange graphical glitches (like Clocktown is missing building when you look at it from Termina Field). We need a much better port.

Oh, and I'm downloading SMRPG as soon as its up. I already own it on SNES, but I love the game too much not to give Nintendo/Square more money for it.

Castlevania III is likely held up due to engineering issues. The US version used MMC5, while the Japanese version used the VRC6 chip. This requires a bunch of extra work to get the emulation going properly.

Just waiting for that DS redesign with a bit of on-board memory for the GB/GBC/Game Gear download service. :D

Anyone up for a GAF Plays of SMRPG? If so, I'll make the thread.
I'm up for that, this will actually be my first playthrough. I've only messed around with it at a friend's house in the past.

I was thinking about a stupid PR idea for referencing Marrymore, "work for free on your Labor Day" or something for SMRPG and surprisingly enough they actually brought out the game today.

I'm nervous with all these great VC games recently that if I don't buy them right away, they'll be taken down for some reason and we'll never see 'em again. :(

Let me add Mischief Makers to that list. Personal megaton if it ever gets on VC.

Can't wait to see Jeremy rip SMRPG on the next Retronauts. :D

I love the game though. I think I will pick it up on a rainy day.
