You're right it should've been a little better.


It should've had a background of half and half. Left half side being Amy's house, and the right side like space or something.

Very cool boxart. I was unwilling to pay the ridiculous prices for the past 4 seasons, but season 5 is worth it.

One detail i hate is that they continue to use the different, cheaper looking time vortex on all the cover art.

Just finished Blink a couple hours ago. Absolutely fantastic episode.

However, I have to stop thinking about how the time mechanics of the episode work...else my head might cave in. :lol

Man, Last of the Time Lords is fuuuuuuuucked up. Loved it, but the whole "Year That Never Was" thing is pretty fuckin' heavy. Pretty excellent finale though.

Also watched Partners in Crime. Is it just me, or is PiC kinda...Doctor Who's version of "The Trouble with Tribbles"? :lol

Still, good way to reintroduce Donna, and I loved the scene between The Doctor and Donna when they finally run into each other. Laughed my ass off. :lol

So I watched season 5 this week (and loved it). I was wondering is it me or does Moffat do less of the "riffing on Americans/US Gov't (and no I don't mean like hardcore I hate Americans or anything like that)" trope that Davies always had in his shows? It never really bothered me, it was just something I noticed. Maybe it's just me! :lol

I loved all the previous series (and the new Master), but what can I say I just love Amy Pond!

I should mention Amazon VOD has every season of Doctor Who (new) for 13 bucks each! Works great with streaming to the 360

On it's own the movie is alright (although it did give us mcgann as the doctor which gave Big Finish the chance to do new stories with him that have been brilliant at times). Now with the series back its almost like a bridging between the old and new. I think RTD also learnt what works and what doesn't from it when bringing it back.

Yeah. The Genesis of the Daleks one is crazy. Apparently the music is different because the BBC never sent track with the music/effects separate from the dialogue. Meaning unless they wanted to do dreaded overdubbing, they would have to redo the music.

They've only ever done 1 easter special. The new series usually starts at Easter.
There's been no word whether the Christmas specials will continue, but I don't see why they wouldn't.
