The pig-men have to be one of the worst monsters in the show's history. Also, watching British actors put on 1930s New York accents is never pleasant.

I wouldn't say NEVER...

Earth-Shattering Climax...

So.

Daleks blow up the Earth or Cybermen blow up the Earth?

Daleks and the Cybermen blow up the Earth.................................While fighting with special guest stars - the Ood, Judoon, Sontarans and the giant wasp from that Agatha Christie episode who makes a shocking cameo!

Earth-shattering cannot begin to describe it!

The giant wasp joined by the TV lady who says "FEED ME!" From season 2 ep and manequins from the first episode.

Saw a trailer for the new series of Sarah Jane which had a brief clip of Matt Smith - he bumps into Sarah Jane, and then runs away. :lol

Anyway, here's a pic of my niece negotiating peace between the Cybermen and the Silurians.

Awwww.

They had an exhibition on at the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester, and in a completely unrelated part of the museum there was a model of one of the Clockwork Robots.

At least I thought it was a model. After about ten minutes of being stood perfectly still, it just started walking around (in a perfectly robotic way) and scared the shit out of some of the children in the museum!

I love the way this show resonates with kids, its great for them to have something to watch on Saturdays that isn't a reality-TV-mind-poison reimagining of a nineteenth century freak show.

Is the actor in the Silurian suit short or is the actor in the cyberman suit a giant?

Anyways seeing pictures like that reminds me of going to the Star Trek Experience in Vegas and seeing kids (And adults) just have a blast interacting with the actors in costume.

In that last picture, I take it the paparazzi were just standing right in front of her, taking her picture as she goes about her life?

Its like she's being stalked by them.

To break away from the Karen pics - two dates possible for the new thread to go up, chaps:

  • This Monday, meaning it can be broken in - so to speak - with the Doctor Who Proms being on at 8.30 on BBC Three that night.
  • Monday, November 8; the launch date of the Doctor Who Series 5 DVD and Blu-ray, and at a time where news is more likely to be coming thick and fast.

Don't get me wrong, I like Alan Davies as much as the next man. Just seems to me that he'd play a parody of The Doctor, the idea of what The Doctor should be, rather than The Doctor.

I enjoyed Waters of Mars more than either parts of End of Time and that awful Planet of the Dead, so I suppose it was well-deserved.

Water of Mars was definitely one of those Sci-FI horror episodes that was great.

Water water everywhere. ZOMG INFECTION!

It could work in a similar way that it does for Johnathan Creek. Quirky rather than comic.
