I liked the Doctor's Daughter. :( Even if it wasn't the best episode, it certainly was better than Fear Her. Fear Her/Love and Monsters would have utterly ruined series 2 if it wasn't for the amazing Ood two-parter.

I'm glad you said that, I thought I was the only one who loved The Impossible Planet/The Satan Pit.

A little of topic but I got this last night. Since it is a small tat the police box isn't doable. But awesome none the less. I also got Vale decem around my wrist that wraps to the sides of the tardis. Eff the haters Tennant is win.

Windows are the wrong size.

I'm kind of slogging through the 4th series.. I really don't like Donna much. I think I may just skip to the end of it and watch teh transitional stuff and call it a day.

Watch Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead/Midnight/Turn Left. My wife wanted to watch the S4 finale again the other day, holy shit it's garbage.

They're my favorite non-Moffat episodes of RTD Who.

Ehh...I can't agree with that, I have to say. We can agree they both suck, at least.

My problem with The Doctor's Daughter is that it is manipulative to the extreme. It tries to make you feel for a character whose lifespan is less than an hour by making Tennant suffer like a crybaby again, which would have been awesome if we hadn't gone through that plenty of times before. Also, Martha and the fishman in the tar pit. At least The Twin Dilemma has post-regeneration trauma to excuse its acting blunders.

Both stories' plots are pure bollocks, natch.

I love even bad Dr Who.

I find my tolerance for bad Dr. Who goes up the older the episode is. After a couple of decades you can find almost anything to be kinda entertaining as a period piece. By the way, I dig your Delia Derbyshire avatar. Also, great tattoo Sheppard.

Hey, hey! Let's not forget The Girl in the Fireplace.

Those cloth cybermen are totally the scariest ones. You can still sort of imagine a horrid multilated human face under there. Much creepier.

Incidentally:

Cyberman 1: My Cyberdog has no nose.
Cyberman 2: How does it smell?
Cyberman 1: EXCELLENT.

Did the Cybermen in previous trailers for the series not have the Cybus logo too?.

They did.

The Dalek episode is written by Mark Gatiss.

I don't know when the Cybermen are supposed to show up, but unless they're in the finale, then they won't be in a Moffat episode either.

oh, I thought you were referring to
the finale which has Daleks and Cybermen and is written by Moffat.

ffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu

I didn't know about that, I wish I hadn't read that :lol
Hopefully it won't be a retread of the S2 finale. And I *don't* want to know if it is or isn't! =P

The spoilers don't mean that the elements referred in them will be the centrepiece of the episodes, just that they will be featured in some way or another.

Holy shit. Classic Doctor who stories (all 4 parts) cost about $5.99 CND on iTunes. That's not too bad considering they cost $30 in stores.

Don't blink – the Weeping Angels return in the fourth episode of Doctor Who, which is written by Steven Moffat.

The Doctor, played by Matt Smith, is recruited by Father Octavian to track the last of the Angels through the terrifying Maze Of The Dead.

Meanwhile, the mysterious River Song re-enters the Doctor's life – but can he trust her?

Father Octavian is played by Iain Glen and River Song by Alex Kingston. The Doctor's companion, Amy Pond, is played by Karen Gillan.

Doctor Who is simulcast on the BBC HD channel – the BBC's High Definition channel, available through Freesat, Sky and Virgin Media.

If anyone is interested, all Doctor Who episodes are now £0.99 on iTunes. A huge bunch of the old stuff, plus Eccleston's and Tennant's runs are included at that price for a limited time

Yeah, uh, this. Though I don't own Series 4 - and Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead are already in my iTunes.

This was probably posted last week but the Radio 4 show Front Row had an interview with Steven Moffat where he said that Russell T Davies has seen one episode of this new series because he "had to see it" but Moffat refused to give the reason why.

When the interviewer questioned whether there is a narrative link between this episode and RTD, Moffat jokingly replied "heaven knows why".

Im guessing a character that RTD is going reappear.

they could always bring back the human 10th Doctor to have Tennant and Smith on the screen at the same time :lol
and if Smith is so terrible and Tennant has a change of heart we could easily get the 10th doctor as the 12th all the Doctor has to do is touch the human/timelord Doctor while in regen and then WIN! Tennat is back..

pfft siff thats going to happen :(

That's even better! Gatiss should write everything.

The Radio Times is supposedly going to ruin one of the visual surprises for episode 3 next week, like they did for Evolution of the Daleks. I know I won't be able to avoid seeing it :(

I'm calling it now; it will be a WW2 tank in the shape of a Dalek.

They can just put Tennant on for a half hour at 11:30, then give Smith a full hour starting at 12:00.

I think Tennant will always be "my Doctor," but I've warmed up to Smith quite nicely and quickly. I'm greatly looking forward to at least two years of him, Gillan, and Moffat.
