Standard Type: damage is based on chikara (power) + weapon attack stat (attack) and then the damage is lessend by the defense stat of the enemy:
-Single handed swords, Two handed swords, Spears, Bowguns, Rods
Defense ignoring type: damage is based on chikara (power) + weapon attack stat (attack) and then that's the damage. It ignores the defense stat of the enemy:
-Guns, Calculators
Speed Type: Damage is based on speed (speed) + weapon attack stat (attack) (maybe + chikara as well?) and then damage is lessened by defense stat of enemy:
-Daggers, Ninja blades/daggers, Bows
Magic Type: Damage is based on maryouku (magic) + weapon attack stat (attack) and then damage is lessened by defense stat of enemy:
-Katanas, Staffs, Maces
[NOTE: MAGIC ATTACKS are calculated entirely by maryouku (magic) stat and then lessened by enemy magic defense stat]
One hit type:The strongest attacks, yet their damage is unstable (not set), a weapon that depends on luck
-Axes, Hammers, Handy Bombs
Magic Defense type: A special weapon that increases damage depending on how high the magic defense of an enemy is:
-Stick
So for example if you stick a 50 attack double handed katana on a powerful knight (gold armor/gold helmet kinda guy) it will do less damage than if you gave him a 35 attack spear. Yet it's vice versa if you try it with a mage.
I'm not sure how many people actually read the help things...so hopefully this is helpful to some people
