I wasnt going to purchase Lair since i was a bit skeptical about how good the game could be, so i decided to wait for reviews.

Now i am really getting the game thanks to the bad reviews, cuz it really seems as if some reviewers had some kind of agenda.

Well graphics weren't really the issue with the game, it was the game play. He at least appears to be having fun with it.

Im not bashing the game graphics it look awesome.

I just dont understand playing a 360 or PS3 game on a SDTV

I'm not really surprised Lair got the score it did. Even while watching the gameplay videos, I was bored. It never caught me as anything as fun to play.

Not everyone getting a PS3/360 is a graphics whore. A lot of people play their next-gen games on a SDTV and they still look pretty good.
 
Not sure if this is new or not, but the manager at my local Gamestop confirmed to me the ame is shipping this Thursday the 30, and will be in stores for purchase on the 31.

Warhawk + Lair this week is awesomeness.

Can anyone confirm what Garnet @ 1up said about Lair having a level with cables used to trip up a monster ala Hoth? That would just be insane if true.

When I stopped by today, the manager told me they'd have it in on the 31, and I'd be able to pick up m reservation. I only went in to ask because I saw their site had the same thing. Their weekly ad says in Stores 8/31. Amazon also has the game shipping out on the 30th.

It's a good thing - because it must be a mistake. And thus they are bargains :D You don't get discounts like that on games - I sense foul play.

Well I've preordered them both (both October release over here) So if it is a mistake...it's their fault and I get them for £15 each right? I mean if all else fails I can sell them on Play.com for £32 each lol.

I wonder if you could import them - that's $30 each ;)
 
I ordered it from shop.mtv.com when they had it listed for $38. The other day the September release date was listed, but now it says August 31st...

edit: EB and Gamestop.com have it releasing on August 30th... stealth release?

Online retailers have plenty of ways out of that kind of thing... but who knows, Amazon may honour it.

YES I preordered both Folklore and Lair for a total of 29.90 quid, what a steal!!!

Lair and Folklore are also the number 1 and 2 items respectively in the video game bestsellers list =O!

I pray that amazon honours their prices.. they really should you know =D

I bought Lair and Folklore, and since I were so happy with the price, I ended up adding Heavenly Sword and Warhawk to the basket aswell.. :)

I use gift-options to remove price, so I avoid import-taxes (expensive in Norway).. :)
Been working for Bluray-titles imported from Amazon.co.uk.

Great promo-offer, if this is what it is..
 
Whoa, its a steal indeed. Just preordered both Lair and Folklore. With delivery to Germany its only 55 Euro for both! Or 62 if you want amazon to sent them separately. Its still cheaper than Lair alone on amazon.de.

They do not send video games to US, afaik. Only Europe.
 
Just ordered from amazon. 15 quid is what I'd pay for a dragongame. Even if it does suck, dragons kick ass. From what I gathered from the reviews, even the bad ones, is that the dragonriding itself is prety goddamned neat.
