Recovery time on press Y to win is too good. It's why I think FMT needs to dumb down the DB AI slider.

A guy can literally be wide open but the defense will close in. It would be one thing if the game properly factored in height, but it doesn't. A tall WR should be able to box out a smaller one in close catches. The only way to break this is with speed. Like, blistering speed. 98 or 99. Even in these situations the db ai can catch up. 50/50 catch is going to the defense 9 times out of ten.

It's not because of AI. And turning down the AI will make every other route even easier than it already is. It's about Y. They got rid of eyes behind the back of the head, spidey senses, and backwards rocket catches only to give the players the easy button that subsitutes all of that. You can see behind the DB, so he doesn't have to. It's like he has spidey senses anyway and now AI intelligence/skill doesn't matter either, so it's even worse. Every DB covering that route is the shit.

The Rams have over 400 more rushing yards than the 3 worst teams in the league COMBINED.

Only 17 teams in the league have over 1000 team rushing yards. 4 more teams could join that list next week. That would still leave 1/3 of the league roughly with less than 1000 team rushing yards. For comparison in the real NFL through 16 weeks all 32 teams have managed at least 1000 yards rushing. The worst team in the real NFL, Arizona, would place 13th in Madden GAF in rushing yards. Wellie is about 500 yards behind the real NFL leaders in rushing yards with 1 less week of stats.

In my last two games (Blue and CB) I totaled around 100 yards combined. In my previous 12 I was averaging over 150 yards per game. I'd be up at real NFL totals.

Also I think our problem is that there are too many turnovers, with that in mind it's far easier to score with less yardage

I've had a shit season in terms of INTs. A lot of slanging but I've also ran into what you're talking about. Guy clearly appears open but once the ball is in the air the DB closes the gap really fast and it's a wrap. Even more so now than when we first started since everybody is pumping XP into MCV.

Yup. Game sucks. I should be able to crush teams that try to stay in two man and bump/press Marshall at the line. Easy completion fade pass right over the DBs head before the safety can get there. There are multiple problems though:

1) Marshall gets jammed at the line way too often with 99 release.

2) When he gets off the line the DB sticks to him, making an over the shoulder pass nearly impossible. The DB is going to make an over the shoulder non look INT.

3) If I get lucky enough that the DB doesn't make that stupid, ridiculous, non look int jump catch, the safety will hone in on a perfect angle towards marshall by holding down Y. So either Marshall gets hit, ball dropped, or the safety picks off the ball.

I'd like to hope EA will revamp the attribute system, as well as ballhawk, for next years madden... unfortunately, we'll probably see a fixed system in four years. I mean I want full on descriptions of what each attribute does, including swag, and actually have physical, noticeable differences on the field.

Would be sweet if the WR was able to be controllable to try and combat the power of Y

#imjustsaying

Yeah, have we even tried to see what this does? I could see it being the answer we need.

i wish there was a hold Y type button but just for jump balls, not one that tracked. there used to be literally no defense for offensive jump balls

There still isn't on comeback lofts. Y will deactivate for those or your CB will run around in circles like an idiot.

Won't help over-the-shoulder.

FMT believes it will ruin the game.

As it is now the offensive player literally has to sit and watch the opponent take control of the DB and position himself for an easy pick. Or hope that the MCV and CTH ratings of the DB decide to take a break and result in a catch (for the WR) or dropped pick. It won't happen i'm just giving FMT shit about it.

Next time I play Soka in a random madden game, I'm going to start controlling my receivers. I've actually never controlled my receiver since entering this league some years back.

Starting MLB Brandon Zuzek - 73 TAK, 13, TFL, 3 INT, 3 DEFL, 2 FF, 2 TD
Starting Nickelback Maka Lisi - 20 TAK, 2 TFL, 7 INT, 2 DELF, 1 TD
OLB Edward Matthews - 5 TAK, 1 FF (on IR)

My standout rookies. In addition to the best LB it looks like I got the best DB in the draft with my 2nd rounder when compared to blue's stats!

The entirety of my last off-season was focused on getting my OL fixed so that I can run the ball. I've also said it many times, the key is good OG play. If they can seal edges on Powers you're golden.

Overall I did pretty well. I had to rebuild my OL and WRs so I could compete on offense. I was near the bottom last year on O, had to rely on a shitty D and Kellen Winslow to get anything done.

Nikolas Vogler and Jordan Lonas on the OL with my first and second round picks

Xavier Waters, Andrew Apo, and Maurice Leopard as first, seventh, and undrafted rookies respectively.

DJ Greenwood in the third.

Various defensive filler pieces from 4-6. A DT, an LB and a DE.

Vogler was a stud until he got hurt. Bradford has only been sacked 16 times, and of course he is a vital component for my running game. Hell since he got hurt I haven't be able to do anything.

Greenwood is battling Leopard for ROTY. 120 carries, 1126 yards, 15 TDs.

Leopard has 81 rec, 1640 yards, and 20 TDs.

Lets give me a Christmas gift, MaddenGAF. Get these games and playoffs done quick so we can draft by Jan 5. I have to work the weekend of Jan 12/13 and I can already envision being screwed out of another draft!

I just realized They Bleed Pixels is a flash deal for three more hours at $2.49. Buy it, fools! Game is a more action-y version of Super Meat Boy.

My rookies:

1. WR Corion Stephens 57 Catches 819 yards 7 TDs
2. DT Antione Thompson 6 tackles 1 TFL (3rd stringer right now)
3. FS Dwayne Scott 20 tackles 1 INT 2 defl (2nd stringer, only plays against 4+ WR)
4. CB Joshua Landrum 2 tackles 1 INT (#5 corner on my depth chart at the moment)
5. WR Kenny Timm 63 Catches 1360 yards 7 TDs possible pro bowler
6. RT Matthew Graham 1 pancake 2 sacks allowed 510 downs played
7. ROLB Banks Richardson 5 tackles 1 TFL (mostly plays on special teams)
UDFA WR Darian Alberry 1 catch 8 yards 12 punt returns 11.5 yards per return

I also grabbed some guy who was cut by someone else named Sterlin Smith. He's a MLB with some decent ratings and low awareness. He has 2 tackles for me as my #3 MLB.

I think I'm gonna move one of my RGs to LG this off season since one of my LGs is a free agent and the other is kind of meh. I have been super scouting offensive linemen, especially guards. Not liking too many in this draft, so hopefully I do get the ones I am interested in.

I found a last round DT I am taking in the first. I hope he isn't on the cheater sheets.

and you'll have an extra 2nd rounder!

i've done a bit of scouting but i dont see the advantage of doing it early in the season since your points accumulate AND you could scout a guy early in the season and then he changes positions late anyways! i have like 40K+ scouting points so as soon as my season ends i'll get to it.

i'm mostly set on defense obviously but i could use quite a bit of help on offense at WR. manningham wouldn't take my offer so he is gone. behind crabtree and newson i don't have much to speak of at WR. also wouldn't mind drafting a center if there is a decent one available in the 1st or 3rd

Well I think they only change positions if they're a storyline player, right? So the odds of scouting someone that is changing positions seems pretty slim

I haven't done any scouting at all this year. That might be because I have two third rounders to start.

LJ, you're probably busy but I have a small window available at the moment to get our game in!

You dont get to pimp the guys you got. They are asterisked like ramirez' Superbowl win.
