The wait was painful. They showed the monitor way too early. 1440p/144hz/Gsync makes it worth it though.
I can officially leave 1080p behind now.

Turned on my PS4 this morning and all 18GB's are downloaded for Madden, like how they have the countdown clock on it and everything.
Yeah it's slick as fuck when it works. I was especially stunned that it boots up immediately when the clock strikes 0:00, at least it did for PvZ.
Shit had some asshole drop by without scheduling first so I missed the end of that navi match. They won?!

Mine did the smaller download but I don't know if it's downloading the rest or not. It doesn't show up in the Downloads area and when I click on information on my Madden15 it says 13/17gb. Does anyone's say that too?oh, the 4 finished and updated the info menu on the download - now it's downloading the rest of the 17 GB

Smokes can probably speak more to this but I think the 880 is supposed to be garbo. I feel like the general consensus is to wait for the 900 series.

Ya it should be downloading then, it only shows the first 4gb, the rest happen in the background.
yeah, once that initial download is done there isn't a progress bar and the only way to track it is through that info screen (although I don't think there's any way to see if it's actually downloading outside of just waiting for the number to change)Mine did the smaller download but I don't know if it's downloading the rest or not. It's not garbo...but Nvidia thinks they're slick. Basically the 880 will still be on 28nm when it was supposed to be on 20nm, however TSMC is having difficulties. This is why we've had the 700 series cards for a very long time.
So the 800 series will be faster than what's out now (still using 28nm), but there is a 'big' card that will be releasing later. Similar to what they did with the 680. It was originally supposed to be their mid range card but they saw they could get away with re branding it and giving it a top end price. Then they released the 700 series when AMD released their cards. The 780 is the real follow up to the 580. They are likely going to do the same thing with the 800/900 series.
