Anyone know how to place players on defense into offensive positions? The full team roster doesn't appear on the depth chart as a possible choice to replace another position, do I need to do this from the offline menu? I want to put in Mike Vrabel as a TE on certain formations but the pause menu depth chart doesn't list him as a potential TE (but it lists several O and D-linemen).

Last season I was up 37-20 on RORS and I picked him off with a minute to go. I had an open field to take it back to the house, got to his 20 yard line and went back about 10 yards. The game was over, no need to rub it in his face with another score. I just took a couple knees and won the game.
It should be a case by case basis. But if you are up by 14+ with under two minutes left, might as well just take the ball out of bounds and end the game. Otherwise you are just showing up your opponent. If it is over 2 minutes left, I can see taking back the score then. There are too many fumbles that occur in this game at the moment to be able to comfortable pound the rock to ice the game.
I too need some practice. I haven't had a chance to practice at all yet because I had to deal with a dead 360. I got a new one yesterday and would like a couple games practice before we play if you don't mind. What times work for you this weekend? Saturday afternoon or late Saturday night should be good for me. I'm sure you're going to watch the G-Men beat down the Cowgirls and I'd like to watch the Bears tank for McFadden, but outside of that, I'm available any time on Sunday. Running up the score appears to be only acceptable if the vocal majority have a problem with the owner who is getting beaten. If Ando was gettting beat 42-7 by a lot of the people complaining, the attacks on his play would be non-existent. But the point is that he isn't losing, and he is winning in a way that rubs people wrong. The question is, "Why is it rubbing people the wrong way?"
Now, if we want to compare reality to our league, I am sure there are some coaches that would like to run Bill Belichick out of the NFL right now for the pasting he has put on them. Sure, the videotaping issue is an excuse, but honestly, the Pats are winning because they are just good. Is Ando just good and some are pissed that he is getting the better of them? I honestly don't know. Did Joe Gibbs call for Belichick's removal from the NFL after he got destroyed a few weeks ago? Nope, but I know some fans who wanted Belichick drawn and quartered. But unless we come up with a way to address the debate over whether or not Ando is cheating the system (without a spectator mode), then anyone who gets the ire of enough people in this league could be run out of it if the war drums are beaten enough even if that person was just getting his Bill Belichick on.
If Ando says he isn't manipulating the code and some who have played him have said he wasn't, then I don't see where we have a case to call for his removal. If he pisses you off because he runs up the score, then find a way to beat the piss out of him. Simple.

Sable: I wasn't directly responding to you but to everyone who posted in that little 3-4 message span and thanks for the input. I guess you are right it was a little lame to purposely run the score up on the guy especially after I complained about Lukeypoo doing it last year but imho an interception thrown that can be easily returned is just a gimme that NFL players take. Either way it won't happen again and thanks for the open minded input.
DammitMatt: I had 8 or 9 sacks in our game because 9 out of every 10 passing plays you called were play action roll outs. It got to the point that I would not even chase the RB on handoffs and just run towards Cutler because 75% of the time I would be right and he would have the ball. When I am lined up on the left with Spires and you are faking right then trying to roll out left, my guy isn't going to have much of any resistance. If it was an AI player he'd be chasing the RB down every play and you'd have no pressure on you because PA roll outs are a little too effective in this game imho. But you put any human controlled player there and they will have the same success as I did. It's just the way the game is. The only way to combat it is to put an extra blocker there or roll out to the opposite side. But like you said in a game that counted you'd of just adjusted so those sacks wouldn't have happened.
Luke: Exactly what the fuck did I do in our game that was cheesy? You won 24-7 and I played a shitty game. Walker had 5 catches for less than a hundred yards and no touchdowns IIRC. PA roll outs are broken. I can let the AI control that guy and get beat 10 times out of 10 or I can control him and try to stop it. The only other option is blitz and if I guess the wrong side or the pressure doesn't get there then it's a huge gain. Cutler has good speed at QB but I rarely ran the roll out just because a majority of the time you're sacked before you have a chance to do anything.
I did some PA Rollouts with Seattle, but usually when I did, I would sub in Seneca Wallace. Use the speed to get out of there before the player controlled DE could get me. Didn't always work.
I'll probably do something similar with Brady Maxwell. D Anderson is incredibly slow.

Nice, everyone is turning on me now. I do complain after every loss to some extent, who the fuck doesn't? I've never complained about a person though. Rors embarrassed me in the playoffs, I complained of single coverage picks, and just an all around bad game, but I never said hey this guy is cheesing me, so you can kindly shut up with those accusations, kthx.
My main beef with the game last night, which I could really care less about today, is that I was disrespected, and he even admitted that the only reason he did it was because it was me, but if you guys want people like that in the league, have at it.

I don't remember seeing people call for Luke's head last season for running up the score in a much worse manner, and admitting on the boards he only did it because he was playing me. I still don't think it's a big deal to return a pick 6 when you are still trying to play, especially considering you scored like 21 points on me in no time last season, but some league members have said they think it's a little lame so I apologized and said it wouldn't happen again, not much more I can do.

ando: you're not out of the league. but do you understand where i'm coming from? you are already on thin ice with your peers and then you only make matters worse by either a) running up the score, b) talking shit after a win/being a smug asshole, or c) both. do you understand how that isn't helping you here? i have never complained about your play and i dont think you are on some sharkwaters agenda. what i would suggest is to play straight up, take your win/loss and be diplomatic about it. i want you in the league but if i get people saying you're a dick, or you're playing on the borderline of cheese, or they refuse to play you again what am i supposed to do? i'm trying to be as fair as possible here, so how about helping me out a bit?

i think we run a pretty fair league and i don't think it's fair at this point to boot someone. if you have an issue with the way someone plays let me know. i can only ask that you don't let prior events influence the way you describe what happened in any given game. if i keep having the same issues with the same people then it's not an issue of "well he's breaking the rules!" its an issue of you causing problems in the league. the league is about fun (and stats!), and when no one wants to play you i need to deal with that.

FMT thanks for the reply and the input but I don't really know how else I can react when I constantly attacked by someone being a complete asshat. I don't know of anything I did last season that was "smug" aside from maybe responding to a lot of Lukeypoo's inane comments with "bitter tears" but I thought that was just an obvious joke and again with 0 feedback from anyone on the subject there wasn't much else I could say about it. I don't remember gloating last year or proclaiming myself better than anybody. The only time I was a dick was when someone was a dick to me. I tried to go a 180 in playstyle this year and just because of this bullshit reputation someone still bitches about it. My offer for a scrimmage with anyone who wants to play and critique me still stands.
