Another high scoring game...Matt's Broncos are winning 31-6...in the 2nd quarter! Damn, I thought my 42 points were impressive.

AirBrian,

I may be able to play tonight... if not, tomorrow FOR SURE!
I'm running a scrimmage against Birdman, so let's run tomorrow! What time works for you? Anytime after 6 PM will work for me

They were almost all scored by my defense or set up by my defense. Champ, Dre, Gold, and Williams are as good as advertised. Needless to say, I put on the brakes in the second half so I didn't get a chance to top your point total :)

After dominating random ranked people with Champ for the past two weeks, he started off this game by putting the ball on the ground on his first punt and kick returns, leading to 6 points for Jube. Thankfully, my defense stepped up and I was able to control the game thanks to the turnovers. I think I only had one long sustained drive the whole game.

Tough luck, Jube. A couple of those INTs weren't really your fault. You should run those screens more often....they were killing me early one.

LeBron loves his girlfriend. There is no other woman in the world he’d rather have. The problem is, Dwyane’s not a woman.

pfft my 21 points were far more impressive.

i think i'm going to change my play style up with the texans. i'm still playing conservative, not taking shots down the field, playing lots of 2 WR sets when i have some talented receivers.

3 wide first down calls imminent! new playbook also!

Just be careful doing that because you dont have a lot of time with that O-line.

Fuck man, this game just gets worse every time I play it. Sacked like 3 times before I could even give a damn handoff, I mean c'mon.

I'm also sick of this game and it's PA recognition, it's so unrealistic it's crazy, Matt had NO running game to speak off, yet my defense bit on every damn PA he ran, mean while, I actually have a positive running game going, yet I'm sacked before I even get through the fake handoff most of the time. Jesus.

I don't think I called that many to be honest, it just kind of fucking sucks when you see it working perfectly for everyone else, yet your line won't block shit on any play.

I mean really, after every game, my opponent usually says "Man tough game, I've never had my line play like that."

I mean am I doing something wrong? The amount of pressure I get on me every game is just absurd. I can keep my RB and FB in to block and it still doesn't matter.

not sure. when i start seeing a lot of pressure i usually go to 3 step drop plays or throw out of the backfield a lot so it gets the D off my ass. i also have a bad offensive line :(

My suggestions:

1. Run the ball. Over and over.
2. RB flares
3. Short TE routes
4. Screens.

Maybe they're simply blitzing you more than you're blitzing them on the PA plays.

Normally I'd agree, but not in the game I just played with him. I was in his backfield no matter if I blitzed or not.

Actually, we can play tomorrow night (if that works for you), so we're not holding up the league. It'll still have to be around 8:30 central though.

EDIT: Let's make that 9:00 central...I have to watch Heroes tomorrow.
That's fine with me.

Everyone knows the league expires in one day on LeagueDaddy, right?

Yeah. You guys are pretty much fucked. Playoffs start tomorrow. Rors, FMT, Me and one other person. Interest simply isn't high enough for a second full season.

FMT said he's taking care of it. I would have renewed it by now, but I don't LIVE ON THE EDGE like he does. Maybe there's a method behind his madness! What an enigma he is!

LJ.....sorry for the delay in the game

I should be home around 5:30 pm PST tonight.

If we could get our game going then, it would work out great.

If not, please just let me know a good time for you and I will make it work.

This week I work everyday from 8-5 so I should be good to play on any day except for tuesday (I have a poker game to play in, :D) Tonight would work out best for me.

Yeah, I work my goofy late shift all week, so I'm not back from work until around midnight Pacific. (a little earlier Thursday, probably)

can we use other teams playbooks? Im not liking the redskins plays just wondering if it was ok to use the pats playbook

Of course. I've tried (not in game, but in practice mode) almost every playbook to find the one that's best for me. If you (the general you, not you Jube) only try your default playbook you're really limiting yourself.

Sick: Hopefully you two can play on the weekend, and take advantage of this triple-length week.

Whats your favorite that you've found just curious? I've tried a ton of the playbooks as well. Oh and jube yea don't use the skins one, aside from the rushing plays its one of the worst. If you need any tips let me know. But i'm sure you'll figure out how to use the skins.

I don't have a favorite, but I do have a few playbooks for each team I use that I can roll out depending on the style I need to play in a given game.

Without having used them this year, I'd recommend Run Balanced or the Philly playbook for the Bears..but you'd probably be better off talking to Mr. Bob.

I think I found a playbook I like for the bears, but I just wanted to see what others were using, so I'll check out those two. It's too bad you can't make your own playbook, combine playbooks, or switch during a game.

Yeah, it'd be fantastic to make your own playbook, and I don't think it'd be that unreasonable to expect that feature. They could use a slightly modified version of the audible selection interface to let you select X number of formations from all the playbooks and then X number of plays. It couldn't be hard to program in...and it'd add a ton for the hardcore madden gamer.

They had it in the PS2 a couple years ago! APF football has it this year.

I miss FPS Football Pros playbook editor/play editor from back in 98. Not really possible on a console, but man that thing was epic.

Now that we're bitching about EA...it's time to throw a tight curve and switch things up.

Rors on Suicide Watch

I am worried that EA is updating too often, they ebb and flow with players too much, Jordan just got upgraded a couple of weeks ago and now he's downgraded again, seems like they are a bit overzealous in some cases.
